Everyone froze, the air thickened as all eyes turned to Mrs Donovan staring in astonishment as the branch manger respectfully led Madeline to check out personally.

The branch manager stiffened before glaring hard at Mrs Donovan, he wished to take off his shoes and stuff his dirty socks in her mouth if that's what would keep her quiet.
