Old Master Brent raised a hand slightly, silencing further argument. His gaze stayed on Thomas. "If what you're saying is true," he said slowly, "then you've done well… the Metzler's group could change the entire direction of your company."
Thomas inclined his head. "That is the intention."
Jake added smoothly, "And Mr Metzler did specifically mention if the meeting isn't set up today, he would lose interest.
Thomas almost laughed at how perfectly Jake was pushing it. This was perfect for him anyway, he did not want to spend another second in this room with the Brent's and certainly not with Ava.
Old Brent nodded, slowly reassessing Thomas for the first time since he walked in. "You should leave and it's best to proceed with caution. Alex is right, the Metzler's have never invested in a small company so whatever they are doing might benefit them more than it does to you."
"Yes Dad" Thomas answered heading over to Ava's beside.
"Baby…" he said, caressing her cheeks.
