Less than a minute later, Michael pushed out a two-tiered dessert cart decorated in elegant white and soft pink.
On top rested a beautifully crafted cake topped with two digital candles reading 27. Beside them was a plaque of smooth chocolate with neat lettering: Happy Birthday, Wife!
Michael parked the cart in front of her before stepping back into the inner room. When he returned, he was holding an enormous, breathtaking bouquet of roses.
There were roses transitioning seamlessly from pristine white roses at the center, to vivid blue enchantress roses in the middle, and framed by vibrant red roses along the outer edge.
He placed the massive bouquet carefully into Evelyn's arms, the arrangement so grand that she could barely hold it all.
Leaning down, Michael pressed a gentle kiss to her lips. "Happy Birthday, wife." Every single one of those roses had been flown in directly, and he had hand-arranged the entire display himself.
