In the afternoon, Michael's father came to the hospital to take over for Evelyn Sin.
Evelyn returned to the Villa only to find that her mobile phone had completely run out of battery.
By the evening, Michael called to let her know she didn't need to return to the hospital. Grandfather Thorn had been transferred from the ICU to a VIP suite, and the private nurses he arranged had already arrived.
Evelyn rode with the driver to pick up Clara and Lucian from Blue Sky Kindergarten and brought them back to the castle. Later that evening, Michael made a brief stop back at the Villa to change his clothes before rushing right back out. Before leaving, he informed Evelyn that he would settle the remaining company matters as quickly as possible over the next few days before flying his grandfather to India for specialized treatment.
He didn't specify how long he would be gone, but Evelyn knew it wouldn't be a short trip.
Around ten o'clock that night, she dialed Michael's number.
