The woman completely dropped her act, sneering coldly. "Ha! Michael Thorn is about to be ousted from the Thorn Group anyway! I don't know what kind of backing you think you still have to be so arrogant! Oh, right, I forgot your maiden family is quite powerful. Your brother is a high-ranking officer, isn't he? I suppose he's going to flex his military rank for you?"
Before Evelyn could reply, a cold voice cut through the room.
"My father owns sixty-two percent of the Thorn Group's voting shares," Lucian said, stepping forward to shield both his mother and sister. He looked up at the woman with an indifferent gaze that mirrored his father's presence. "Even if every board member combined their equity, they couldn't oust him. Your husband is just a department manager under the Vice President; did he teach you to spread financial illiteracy at a kindergarten?"
The woman gaped at the five-year-old boy in utter disbelief, her face flushing crimson.
