Evelyn glanced at the clock; it was already past ten. "Don't stay up too late either. Go to sleep soon."
Michael pushed open his bedroom door and let out a soft, "Alright."
"Wait a second!" Evelyn piped up, her voice instantly turning soft and coquettish. "Point the camera at my babies. Let me see them."
Michael set his laptop on the nightstand and walked over to the expansive bed. The camera panned down, revealing the peaceful, angelic sleeping faces of Clara and Lucian tucked beneath the duvet.
"My precious, beautiful babies," Evelyn cooed, blowing kisses to the screen. "Muah!"
The camera immediately whipped back to Michael's face, his eyes narrowed in mock displeasure. "What about me?"
Evelyn laughed, helpless against his possessive streak. "Fine, fine. Husband, muah! Are you satisfied now, Mr. Thorn?"
