The next day, akari woke up to knocking on her door. She got up and opened the door as a maid entered with tea and toast
"Good morning miss, here. After you finish you shall go to the dining hall for your breakfast" the maid said as she bowed, entered the room and put the food before leaving
Akari glanced at the warm steaming tea on her bedside with the toast that was glazed with honey
She then walked over and began eating her food before freshening up and leaving for the dining hall
As she walked she saw kaito walking ahead, having not noticed her "kaito good morning" akari said as she walked beside him
"Oh good morning akari" kaito said as he turned to look at her and smiled warmly as they both continued to walk to the dining hall
Kaito and akari arrived at the dining where they saw that the others were already sitting there
"Morning akari, kaito" kenji said seated at the right side of Isamu who was sitting at the head of the table
"Morning everyone" akari said as she sat down next to amaya while kaito sat across from her
"How was your sleep?" Isamu asked as he snapped his fingers for the maids to get their breakfast
"It was great!" Amaya said as she smiled gratefully at Isamu. "Good" Isamu replied as the food arrived
The food was a steaming bowl of ramen with tempura on the side. "Wow this looks delicious" kaito said as he received his breakfast
"Yes, it home cooked by my maids" Isamu said as he grabbed his fork to eat, the others also doing the same
"So Isamu, we should probably continue our journey soon" kenji said as he started eating his ramen
"So soon?" Isamu asked as he looked at kenji "yes, we want to get to Lunaris as soon as possible" kenji replied
"Very well then, i shall provide you supplies for your journey" Isamu said as he finished eating and stood up
"Get them supplies needed for their journey" Isamu ordered his servants who immediately obeyed and left
"How could we ever repay you Isamu?" Kenji asked as he looked at him "its my way of thanking the kage's" Isamu replied, smiling warmly
"But maybe you could repay me by stopping this war" Isamu added as the servants arrived with the supplies needed for their journey
"Your as generous as always " kenji said as he thanked Isamu before heading to his room to pack
The three children followed behind him to their rooms, after entering they started packing their clothes and other essentials
After a while, rhey finally finished and walk to the hall where Isamu was waiting to send them off
"Seems like its time for us to part ways again" Isamu said as he hugged kaito and amaya
"And you, be good for your father, Tadashi" Isamu said as he hugged akari tightly, a small tear rolling down his cheek
Akari's eyes widened in surprise as she confirmed her suspicions about the mysterious man
Isamu smiled warmly as he let her go and went to kenji, a small sad smile in his face as he approached him
"We always have to part ways kenji" Isamu said as he placed his hand on Kenji's shoulder
"Yeah, it still hurts like before" kenji replied a small sad smile similar to Isamu was on his face
"It'll be a while till we meet again" Isamu said as he sighed heavily, closing his eyes as he prepared himself mentally for them to part ways
"Unless death gets to one of us first" kenji said half joking and half serious at the joke, his eyes showing sadness
"We already lost one" Isamu said as he opened his eyes and looked at kenji with the same sad expression
"Promise me something Kenji" Isamu added, his voice stern and serious while amaya, kaito and akari watched the exchange
"What is it Isamu?" Kenji asked, noticing the serious look on Isamu's face as he said it to him
"Promise me you'll come back alive, so we can finally live together for old times sake" Isamu said as he hugged kenji
Kenji was surprised at the sudden gesture "I'll try isamu" kenji replied as he hugged him back
After a while Kenji, amaya, kaito and akari were off once again, heading to the palace of Lunaris
As they left Isamu watched from a window, clutching the picture of him, kenji and Tadashi together as tears rolled down his cheek at seeing his best friend leave once again
