Tessa didn't know whether to laugh or question the sanity of every beastman around her.
The tales they told sounded ridiculous, dramatic, and completely impossible.
One lion beastman especially refused to stop talking. He puffed out his chest proudly as he spoke about how the goddess descended from the heavens and blessed the beastmen with special gifts.
"She gave us abilities beyond imagination," the lion declared proudly while the others listened with shining eyes. "Some were gifted the skies, some the rivers, some unmatched strength. From that day onward, we became the greatest race alive. No other kind could compare to us."
The lion ended his speech with a proud roar, and immediately the others cheered loudly in agreement.
Tessa blinked slowly.
"What exactly is this beastman talking about?" she muttered under her breath. "Gifted abilities? I don't see anything special."
Honestly, she was beginning to think she had entered a world filled with delusional people.
