The next day came almost immediately, Lucas and Karl dressed up properly in preparation for their first class.
"Thank you." Lucas said, he didn't have any extra clothes with him so Karl had given him some of his, although they were bigger than he was given his skinnier figure.
"It's nothing much, I have a lot of clothes anyway. I needed to get some of them out of my bag." Karl replied as he combed his hair.
Lucas sat on his bed, staring at the floor. Today they would begin their classes, how would it be? How would others see him? He was broken out of his thoughts by Karl who put a hand on his shoulder.
"You ready?" Karl asked, with a look of concern on his face. Lucas nodded then got up.
They walked out the door of their room and immediately ran into two others who came out from the room opposite theirs.
Two boys of almost equal height, one had a look of somewhat indifference as he stared at Lucas and Karl, his eyes as blue as the sea, and his facial features were nothing to scoff at, his pitch black hair tied up in a ponytail.
'Might even be more handsome than this idiot.' Lucas shifted his gaze to Karl and then looked back at the other two.
The other guy had more emotion on his face, his eyes showing disdain and almost pity, his hair was the same colour as the other guy, his beauty even surpassing that of Karl.
"Pen…dragon." Karl said slowly, his eyes wide open in shock, Lucas immediately turned his head to him and back to them, his eyes immediately coming into contact with their IDs. The one with the indifferent face was called Zed and the other one was named Elvis.
"Good, you know who we are. Now get out of our faces." Elvis said, his tone was calm but carried a hint of animosity within it.
Zed said nothing, if anything he looked like he wanted nothing to do with any of them. His calmness and indifference was something Lucas hasn't seen in anyone before.
"Since you're a Pendragon that means you must know David." Karl said, his face instantly beaming with a bright smile.
Zed's face brightened for a moment, his indifference disappearing before coming back as fast as it had gone. Elvis laughed, his deep voice echoing across the entire hallway.
"David huh?" Elvis stroked his chin. "Someone that weak can't be considered a part of our family, right Zed?"
Zed nodded a little, showing no further interest in the conversation as he took out his phone and began gaming.
Lucas said nothing, he was boiling inside, his anger almost erupting like an active volcano. What did they mean by David being weak?
He couldn't fathom it, he couldn't understand it, to him David was the strongest member of their group, even stronger than Karl.
He folded his hands into fists, ready to strike at any time. And then it happened, Elvis got punched in the face, flying backwards through his room door. Lucas's eyes shot back in the direction the punch came from and saw Karl breathing heavily, his face livid with anger.
"How dare you talk about him like that!?" Karl screamed in anger. Elvis sat up, wiping the blood from his mouth with the back of his hand.
"I just said the truth, he was weak." Elvis reiterated. "Anyone who dies during their First Imposition is weak."
Karl flew at him again, almost hitting him with his fist but was suddenly dragged back by a huge gravitational pull.
Lucas saw what seemed to be a ball of black energy in front of Zed and that was what was pulling Karl away.
Lucas went after Elvis himself, lining up a punch that was enhanced by Ruin. Elvis smirked and did the same, from his sitting position he threw a punch, his fist meeting Lucas's fist.
A gigantic shockwave blew the windows in the Pendragons' room to smithereens. Zed shielded his eyes, his ability still active as it pulled Karl closer.
Lucas felt his knuckles crack, his hand hurt. Elvis's hand felt like steel, he went for another punch as soon as Elvis got back on his feet and he too was able to react. He charged up his fist with Ruin once again and flung it at Lucas.
"What is the meaning of this!?" A loud voice boomed from down the hallway.
They all stopped, Lucas's and Elvis's fists stopping just short of each other's faces.
The one who stopped them was a tall man with grayish-black hair, age had chopped away at some of it, his face shone with the experience of many decades and his composure matched that of a sophisticated individual.
"Sorry Mr. Principal sir, but these guys attacked us and so we had to retaliate." Elvis muttered, his voice calm and respectful.
The old man said nothing and immediately turned to Lucas and Karl who now stood side by side.
"Karl! What the hell are you doing?" He bellowed, as he walked up to Karl and Lucas.
"Sorry grandpa but they said some despicable things about a friend of mine so I had to do something about it." Karl replied, his head facing downwards.
'Grandpa? I knew he was well-to-do but not to this extent.' Lucas thought as even he couldn't look up.
"Hmm, is this the friend you speak of?" The principal asked, his gaze turning to Lucas.
"No sir, the person they spoke wrongly about was a close friend of ours." Karl replied.
The Principal's eyes scanned Lucas once more and then turned to the other two.
"You two are always in the midst of one problem or another," he looked over at all of them with disappointment. "But this will be a warning to you all, should this happen again you'll all be properly dealt with."
He stared at the damage done to the door of the room and then shook his head before turning around and walking away taking the stairs on his way out.
"We'll meet again, kids." Elvis said with a smile as he and Zed walked away into the elevator.
Karl was still boiling on the inside, his emotions almost getting the best of him but he held fast and strong.
"Let's get to class." Lucas said, Karl nodded and then the both of them made their way down the stairs.
They walked out of the gigantic dormitory building and made their way to the actual Academy building.
"We have Ruin control classes first eh?" Lucas asked, trying to get Karl's mind away from what had happened.
"Yeah sure." Karl said calmly.
They entered the building and made their way to the second floor where the Ruin control class was located.
They walked in through the class doors with elegance and then…
"If it isn't the two mongrels."
They knew that voice, it was him again. It was Elvis. Karl stared at him with murderous intent.
'Oh shit! Here we go again.'
