"Cassius is a pervert," Love spat, shaking her head to dispel the embarrassment.
"The biggest," Klaus nodded, still looking at the condom, his lips twitching over his friend's gift.
Truly, he'd been expecting anything but this.
"And why are you still looking at it?" Love said, making Klaus look up at her. "Just destroy it before the Apothecary comes in and sees it!"
"What if that old fossil sees it? Who cares."
"You stupid fool, he'll get the wrong idea!" Love replied, pointing at the two of them. "We're a man and a woman, alone in a room, with a damn bloody condom in our hand! What would anyone think?"
"Don't blame other people when it's your own mind that's so dirty," Klaus said, snickering at her. "And no, I won't destroy it. It's a gift. And I might have a use for it."
Love's thoughts caught on those words, not quite believing them. Her heart slowly began to beat faster, the pace picking up far more than she expected.
