The call ended soon after, and Esmeray sat there with a smile on her face, looking blankly at her phone.
She knew what she was doing was wrong and frowned upon. She knew that once her family learned of this, they'd stop at nothing to separate her from Dorian… she knew all of that, yet she didn't care.
"I'm alive," Esmeray muttered to herself, closing her eyes as if savoring the very feeling of finally being… alive.
