Naomi looked at Cassius with dismay dripping from every inch of her face. Her brain was completely frozen, unable to properly process the words despite how painfully clear they were.
"What…what did you just say?" She croaked out, her voice hoarse, her face slowly shifting from sensual to seething anger, "You want me to be your maid? Me? Naomi Holloway? A fucking maid?"
"You're not becoming just any maid, I'll remind you." Cassius replied with all the calm in the world, "You're becoming my maid. And did you forget how I treat my maids?"
He tilted his head, holding her mismatched eyes steadily.
"I'll take your protection more seriously than that, and I'll do everything I can to save you from your Palatine."
