"Just answer me!"
James continued to probe.
Yvonne frowned unhappily and replied, "So what if I am?"
James thought to himself, "Sure enough."
"What if you fail?"
He asked tentatively.
Yvonne was shocked. She didn't know why James would ask such a question. However, she remembered why she decided to help Stanley. So she turned around to answer James.
"It's none of your business."
James wasn't bothered by her reaction as he had expected it. He sneered and said.
"You're selling your house to help Stanley, right?"
He went straight to the point.
Yvonne was taken aback. She stared at James for a long time before she asked.
"Did you... investigate me?"
James sneered. "Of course not, I'm not that silly. I just found out by accident."
Yvonne was a little embarrassed as her secret was exposed. After all, she wanted to keep this a secret.
"So what if I am? What are you trying to say?"
