They opened the sack. As expected, there were four or five dogs inside. They were all small pet dogs and looked very cute.
"So many." Janice never expected there to be so many. She glanced around and said, "Could their owners be nearby?"
Hearing this, Christopher also looked around and found that the surroundings were quite quiet. There was no sign of anyone looking for dogs.
He said, "I'm afraid this is the place to dispose of the stolen dogs."
Janice agreed and sighed, "What should we do? Should we send them to the police station?"
She frowned.
Christopher said, "I'm afraid that what we can only do."
She caressed the little ones inside and felt it was not the proper way.
"We'd better not. Don't waste public resources on this kind of thing. Why don't we take it back tonight and think of a way tomorrow?"
Christopher did not object, and then the two took the sack back home.
