Janice felt sympathetic for Lucy. However, she had barely met her quota. Plus, she had to feed one more mouth now. There was no way she could help.
So, she said, "It doesn't matter. Lucy, we'll continue to work hard next month."
Lucy didn't say anything, but she was a little dissatisfied with Janice's nonchalant response.
After all, in the past, if she whined when she met something like this, Janice would give her some articles to hit her quota. But now, she didn't even mention it.
