Chapter 110 - Chapter : The Gethsemane Frequency

Previously on Watcher of the Infinite...

My name is Carel, the fastest man alive. I am currently cutting through the fabric of reality, racing back to 2012 to fix the fate of my world. But as I surged through the Time Stream, I saw a ghost I never expected: my daughter, Pendo. To see her here, adrift in the Velocity Force, is impossible. I had to pull her out before the raw energy consumed her soul, but I also had to warn her—the Time Tracker is here. It is a predator born of the Negative Velocity Force, and it's hunting us.

I ran back to save the future where I left her, only to find her life in more danger here in the past. I approached her while she was alone, whisking her to the top of the KICC Tower in a flash of golden lightning. "What are you doing here?" I asked. But instead of a hug, she screamed for help.

The Negative Velocity Force has poisoned the timeline. In this twisted 2012, the world sees me as a villain. An avatar of the Negative Force has been chosen, and it wears my face. To my own daughter, I am the "Evil Speedster." I remembered my secret journey to Gethsemane, where I was told to choose love over war. Following that advice is the only thing that can shatter this false reality.

The wind at the top of the KICC helipad was a howling beast, tugging at my suit and whistling through the iron railings. Below us, Nairobi was a sea of shimmering lights, but the atmosphere felt heavy, saturated with the metallic tang of Negative Tachyons. Pendo stood ten feet away, her feet planted firmly on the concrete, her eyes wide with a terror that cut deeper than any blade. To her, I wasn't the father who used to buy her maize mahindi on the way home; I was the monster who had been terrorizing the city's headlines for weeks.

"Stay back! Don't come any closer!" she yelled, her voice trembling. "I know what you did! The news... the police... they said you're the one who brought the Void to Kenya! You're the reason the sun didn't rise properly today!"

"Pendo, listen to my voice," I said, keeping my hands visible and my palms open. I forced the golden lightning around my body to settle, dimming the glow until I looked more like a man and less like a storm. "The man you saw down there—the one claiming to be Carel—he is a reflection. A shadow cast by a broken sun. The Negative Force has performed a 'Moral Inversion' on this year. It has turned my history into a horror story, and I need you to see past the lies."

[ADVANCED RAW SYSTEM: TIMELINE ANOMALY DETECTED]

CURRENT REALITY:Earth-254 / Variant 'B' (The Villain Arc).

GLOBAL PERCEPTION:Carel (User) classified as 'Public Enemy #1'.

THREAT LEVEL:Universal Collapse / Paradox Hardening at 88%.

DATA ANALYSIS:In this timeline, your intervention in the 2012 Westlands fire was recorded as arson. Your rescue of the school bus in Limuru was labeled as an abduction. The 'World' hates you because the Negative Force has rewritten the digital and mental archives of every citizen.

SYSTEM NOTE:Buda! This is a mess! Even the 'Sheng' on the street is against you. They're calling you 'Mnyama wa Stima' (The Electricity Beast). The police at the Central Station have a 'Shoot on Sight' order. If you move too fast, they'll think you're attacking. Kaza butu, Carel. You're running against the wind of public opinion now.

SENG NOTE:Maze! This is worse than a fake news trend on X. Your own daughter thinks you're the 'shaitan' of Nairobi. You need to use that 'Gethsemane Frequency.' Love over war, remember? If you fight the impostor, you just prove the world right. You have to be the hero they don't believe in. Tunasonga na imani!

The air suddenly turned ice-cold. A streak of violet lightning began to spiral up the cylindrical side of the KICC tower, moving with a jagged, unnatural speed. He was coming. The "Hero" of this corrupted timeline. The man wearing my face, wearing a "clean" version of my suit, fueled by the darkness but appearing as a savior.

"He's coming for you!" Pendo cried, looking toward the edge of the roof with hope in her eyes. "The real Velocity Man... he'll save me from you!"

I looked at her, and for a microsecond, the superhero world vanished. I didn't see a speedster or a paradox. I saw the little girl who used to complain when the chapati was too crunchy. I remembered the garden in Gethsemane—the heavy, ancient silence under the olive trees, the smell of damp earth, and the words of the Man who knew what it felt like to have the world He loved call for His end.

"Choose love over war."

I lowered my guard completely. I let the golden lightning around my body die out until I was just a man in a red suit standing in the dark. I didn't prepare for a fight. I didn't tense my muscles to vibrate. Instead, I sat down on the very edge of the helipad, my legs dangling over the drop to the city below, my back turned to the approaching threat.

"I won't fight him, Pendo," I said, my voice barely a whisper against the wind. "If I fight him, the timeline stays broken. If I win with strength, I lose the truth. Love isn't about winning a race; it's about standing still when the world tells you to run for your life."

The violet lightning exploded onto the roof behind me. The Impostor landed with a heavy thud, his suit a dark, oily version of mine that seemed to absorb the light around it. He looked at the scene—the "villain" sitting peacefully and the "victim" standing confused.

"Get away from her, you parasite!" the Impostor roared, his voice a perfect, synthesized copy of mine. His hand began to vibrate with a high-pitched, killing frequency, ready to phase right through my spine.

[SYSTEM INTERFACE: TRUTH-RESONANCE INITIALIZED]

OBJECTIVE:Restore Original Frequency (Frequency 0.00hz).

METHOD:The Gethsemane Protocol (Absolute Non-Resistance).

RISK:Total Molecular Dissipation (100%).

WARNING:If the Impostor strikes while your shields are down, you will not regenerate. This is a one-way trip, Carel!

SENG NOTE:Carel! What are you doing? He's about to give you a 'Phase-Punch' to the heart! Aki, this is the ultimate test. If you hit him back, the Negative Force wins because it feeds on the friction. If you take the hit with love, the paradox might shatter like cheap glass. Nairobi is watching from the streets—show them who the real Watcher is! Kaza roho!

The Impostor lunged. I could feel the heat of the Negative Tachyons behind me, the air screaming as his vibrating hand aimed straight for the center of my back. Pendo screamed, a sound of pure horror.

I didn't move. I didn't even flinch. I simply looked over my shoulder at my daughter and smiled—a tired, genuine, fatherly smile that had nothing to do with power and everything to do with blood.

"I love you, Pendo. In every timeline. In every world. Even if you never remember this moment, I am glad I got to see you one last time."

The vibrating hand stopped an inch from my skin. The silence that followed was deafening. The Impostor's face began to crack, jagged lines of purple light leaking from his skin like water from a broken dam. He couldn't exist in a space filled with pure, non-resistant love. The Negative Force is a predator that requires conflict, anger, and resistance to maintain its physical form in our world. Without my fear, without my counter-attack, the "Villain Timeline" began to starve for energy.

"You... why won't you... fight?" the smoke-voice hissed, the Impostor's body flickering like a dying lightbulb.

"There is nothing to fight," I said, standing up slowly and walking toward him, not away. "You are a lie told by a coward. And the truth doesn't need to punch you to make you disappear."

The KICC tower groaned as the very foundations of the false reality began to shift. The violet lightning turned to gray ash, blowing away in the cold Nairobi wind. The dark suit on the Impostor dissolved into nothingness, and the man wearing my face evaporated into the Void, his screams silenced by the sound of the wind.

Pendo stood blinking, the "Villain" mask falling from her eyes as the timeline corrected itself in a massive, silent surge of golden energy. The news reports in her mind, the memories of the "Electricity Beast"—they all vanished, replaced by the warmth of the father she knew. She looked at me—truly saw me—and the terror was gone, replaced by a flood of recognition that brought her to her knees.

"Dad?" she whispered, her voice cracking with the weight of the realization.

I stepped forward and gathered her into my arms, the KICC roof finally feeling like home again. The golden lightning returned to my skin, but this time it was soft, like the first rays of a sunrise over the Savannah.

"I'm here, Pendo. I'm always here. No matter what the world says, I'm never leaving you again."

She sobbed into my shoulder, the paradox finally shattered. But as I looked out over the city, I saw a single, dark pulse on the horizon. The Time Tracker was still out there, and now that I had restored the frequency, I had just lit a signal fire in the dark. The race was far from over.
