Chapter 39 - Episode 39: The Move No One Saw

The city looked normal.

Traffic moved. Lights flickered. People lived their lives—unaware that beneath the surface, something had already shifted.

The attack on Tiger Gang wasn't just an incident anymore.

It had become a signal.

Inside a quiet room, Aarav stood still, his phone resting in his hand. The screen had gone dark, but the message lingered in his mind.

Tiger Gang under attack.

He didn't react like others would.

No panic.

No urgency.

Because this wasn't new to him.

Violence didn't surprise him.

But precision did.

And what had happened tonight—

was precise.

He walked slowly toward the window, his reflection faintly visible against the glass. For a moment, he simply looked at it, as if measuring something deeper than what appeared on the surface.

"This wasn't chaos," he thought.

"It was control."

His jaw tightened slightly.

Because control meant intention.

And intention always had a target.

Somewhere else, in a guarded space filled with tension, Ravan sat in silence.

Men stood around him, waiting for orders.

But none came.

That was what made it worse.

"Sir… what should we do?" one of them finally asked.

Ravan didn't look at him.

His gaze remained fixed ahead.

"If he wanted to destroy us," Ravan said slowly, "he wouldn't stop here."

The room went still.

"This…" he continued, "was just to show that he can."

A pause.

"And that means… he wants something."

Far away, in Mumbai, Tiger stood alone.

The city lights stretched endlessly before him, reflecting faintly in his eyes.

He wasn't angry.

He wasn't shaken.

But he was alert.

Because whoever had done this—

wasn't careless.

They were sending a message.

And Tiger understood messages better than most.

"Black Cat…" he murmured.

The name stayed in the air for a moment.

Then he exhaled softly.

"Let's see how far you can go."

Back in the city, Aarav finally moved.

He picked up his phone again and dialed a number.

The call connected after a few seconds.

"Hello?"

A calm voice answered from the other side.

"I need you in Mumbai," Aarav said.

No greeting. No explanation.

Just a statement.

There was a brief silence.

Then—

"When?"

"Soon."

Another pause.

"What's the situation?"

Aarav looked out at the city again, his expression unreadable.

"It's starting."

That was all he said.

But it was enough.

On the other side, the man understood.

"Alright," the voice replied. "I'll come."

The call ended.

Aarav lowered his phone slowly.

His face remained calm.

But his eyes—

were no longer passive.

Because he had made a decision.

He wasn't going to wait anymore.

Outside, the night continued as if nothing had changed.

But somewhere in the shadows—

plans were already in motion.

Invisible.

Precise.

And impossible to stop once they began.
