I was coming up from the basement around four in the morning, of course, I didn't stop at the knowledge that was initially beaten out of Elena. Over a long hour and a half to two hours of work, I gained a lot of useful information. Code words for negotiations, a lot about the personalities of the leaders of other groups, as well as the distinguishing marks of various lineages. I also learned that capturing me was purely her idea, she didn't report about me to the higher-ups, what a fool! She thought she could cover herself with the elders and get another ancient secret or even a chance to rise to a high level. Now, because of her stupidity, the heads of the Vladivostok lineage might think that this was all the work of the Khabarovsk lineage. All I need to do is leave a couple of things in a couple of sensitive places, which is not a problem.
However, extracting so much information from her was incredibly difficult, she turned out to be quite stubborn and loyal. So it was only more fun to play with her. I maintained her life with all my might until the very end. So what remained below can no longer be called a person, but just a pile of disfigured flesh, pumped with various drugs and without some non-vital organs.
Upon ascending, I saw Vita curled up in a ball sleeping next to the stairs leading up. Now I was calmer than yesterday and could think rationally. Looking closely, I realized that she was indeed cute, and my chest even warmed up a bit at her sight, but all this warmth reminded me of Lin Yun Er and my chest started to tear apart again. Quickly turning away, I shook my head. When I looked at her again, I noticed that her clothes were quite dirty and torn, and her protection was damaged in several places. I wonder, did she not want to buy new clothes herself, or was she simply not given money?
"What are we going to do with her? We can't hide her from everyone," Asura's voice sounded in my head, he was clearly in a good mood after last night's performance.
"There's a plan, only she'll need new documents," I said, shrugging. "However, let her sleep for now, our business here is not finished yet," I added, heading upstairs, I needed to get the documents that Elena mentioned, as well as search everyone's rooms and gather all possible information.
The safe in Elena's room was slightly dented; I must have accidentally bumped it when I entered. The whole house was also damaged, it seemed I wasn't quite in control of my inner energy in my rage. It must have created a terrifying aura; I now understood Vita much better. As for the documents, they were unharmed and contained quite useful information, at least at first glance. Naturally, I wasn't going to study them completely, so I hid them in my spatial bracelet.
Next, I went through the rooms, where I found a bunch of personal phones. Most likely, they contained little more than personal information, but I put them in the bracelet just in case. After half an hour of work, I went downstairs and saw that Vita was still asleep. Seizing the moment, I took out my second phone and dialed the number of a familiar black market dealer.
"Hello, who is disturbing me at this late hour on this number?" a polite voice of a merchant I already knew responded.
"It's the one you sold information about the guardians to, Yun Ivan," I replied, remembering the name I used then. It was a long time ago; I was surprised he hadn't changed his phone yet.
"Ah, yes, I remember. You needed to inquire about someone back then, didn't you?" he asked, drawing out his words.
"No, this time I want to order a package of documents. Everything from birth certificates to passports. Preferably, as legal as possible," I said, sitting down on the floor.
"This isn't a government office where everything is legal. I recommend you just go to the authorities and get the appropriate documents," the merchant said. He was right, but there was one thing that prevented me from doing so.
"You know yourself that it can take a long time," I said, smiling slightly. "I need to get them as quickly as possible and without unnecessary questions. I also wanted some conditions to be met. And I don't have the necessary connections, as you remember. And I think you should organize this, as you must know the circle of people involved in this. As for the money, if everything is done well and quickly, and the information about the documents is entered into the government databases, then it's not a problem."
"Oh, that will cost a lot. There will be many bribes alone, plus my search for the right people," the merchant said, smirking in a sickeningly sweet voice. "Do you think you can afford it?"
"I told you, it's not a problem. Just name the sum," I said with a sigh. He was clearly just inflating the price, but I didn't have many other options. If my other identities weren't so important and if they were revealed, it wouldn't be a problem. But if any mistake was found in Vita's history, it would be very bad for me, leading to so many unnecessary questions. I remembered that even Mo Jiaxing had problems restoring my documents, if they even existed.
"Ten million yuan, and I'll write any story for you, taking all your wishes into account," the merchant said. The sum he named, although large, was quite affordable for me. I was sure Vita was worth doing everything correctly and with high quality.
"I agree. I'll send all my conditions by message," I said, nodding my head.
"Excellent, then I'll contact you when everything is ready," the merchant replied, hanging up.
After that, I began to write diligently and to finalize Vita's story. The slightest mistake in it could cost me dearly, in case of trouble. I didn't want to arouse unnecessary suspicion, so I was paying so much to knowledgeable people to ensure everything was done well. After all, it wouldn't be surprising if, with my affairs, someone eventually dug up my entire background. I shouldn't arouse suspicion, nor should my close associates. And I had no doubt that Vita would become such.
About an hour later, everything was ready, and Vita began to wake up. She looked quite cute. At first, she didn't understand where she was or what was happening. After a while, she came to, and a little later, she saw me sitting by the wall. Her eyes widened at my appearance, but soon returned to normal. She got up from her place and walked towards me, stopping a couple of meters away.
"Teacher, what will you do now?" she asked, sitting on her knees. I had been silently observing her the whole time, curious about her reaction to everything that was happening after she had thought it all through.
"Have you changed your mind about becoming my student?" I asked seriously. She flinched slightly at my words.
"No, I'm very glad you allowed me to become one," Vita replied quickly, bowing slightly.
"I see, that's good, but you should know that today I killed everyone in this city who belonged to the Vladivostok guardians. I couldn't resist saying that dramatic phrase at such a moment. The fact that I allowed these insertions already indicated that my anger had passed. Vita shuddered at my words; it seemed she felt a surge of horror, but didn't show it. "Also, Vita Orolova died here today. From now on, you will have a different name, so I will ask you, are you ready to accept it or not?"
"I will do whatever teacher says," she replied, her voice trembling slightly, bowing her head. It seemed quite amusing to me, as if we were playing some kind of play.
"Then listen to me carefully and remember. From now on, you are my younger sister named Jiaxing Er," I began to briefly recount the story I had recently invented for her. I would give her more details later. "We met today, and I remembered you. Everyone knows that I don't remember anything before the age of seven. Our parents were hunters and died on a mission, after which we were separated and, in a way that was unclear to us, ended up one in the city of Bo, the other in Xi'an. You also don't remember what happened to you before the age of five, just like me. You lived in an orphanage, but ran away at sixteen and lived in the slums. You can invent the reason why you ran away yourself. Is everything clear?"
"Yes, teacher," she nodded, then thought for a moment and added, "I ran away because of bullying from other children. If teacher doesn't mind, let it be so."
"Good," I agreed. However, when I heard her words, something weakly pricked at my chest, and fragments of memories from my past life flashed before my eyes, but I didn't dwell on them and pushed them aside. I have a different life now. "And one more thing, very important: call me either 'brother' or 'Jiaxing Yun', but under no circumstances 'teacher', and address me informally."
"But, how can I...?" She stopped, not finishing, feeling my intense gaze. "Address you like that?"
"Very simple. I don't really care how I'm addressed, but if you call me 'teacher' and address me formally, our whole story will be ridiculed. And I really wouldn't want you to have problems in the future," I said, getting up from the floor and heading towards the door leading to the basement. "Today all the guardians died, including the outer circle student Vita Orlova, but I met my sister Jiaxing Er in the slums, who remembered and recognized me. She loves me very much and calls me 'brother' or 'little brother' or by my name, but definitely not 'Teacher'."
"But... brother, how then... will you deceive the Guardians? After all, they will count the bodies and realize that mine is missing?" Jiaxing Er asked, getting up from the floor and following me. "Won't there be problems because of this?"
"No, because I have this?" I smiled, showing a bomb I had recently taken out of my spatial bracelet. I made it from forty medium-quality fire stones and one lightning stone. The spark emitted by the lightning stone when the timer reaches zero causes a chain reaction of fire stones, causing a powerful explosion. If twenty were enough to harm the three-eyed wolf, what could forty do?
"Brother, what is this?" Jiaxing Er asked, her voice full of doubt and her face full of bewilderment. "I've never seen such things before."
"Go and quickly gather all your things," I said, starting to descend into the basement. "This is a bomb, so hurry up, you only have fifty minutes to pack, otherwise we won't make it out of the blast zone."
"Ah!" she exclaimed in surprise. "My things aren't here, I left them at the apartment. We only used this building for meetings, and it came in handy to hide your girlfriend." Jiaxing Er said, faltering slightly at the end.
"She hasn't been my girlfriend for a year," I replied dryly. The reminder already tore my heart. "And yesterday, right before the Guardians captured her, she finally left me."
"What? Is that true?" Jiaxing Er was surprised. It even seemed to me that her voice held happiness and hope, but I preferred not to think about it too much.
"If you have nothing to pack here, wait for me upstairs, I'll be back quickly," I said, descending. I placed the bomb in the center of the basement, set the timer for two hours, and also rigged a tripwire on the stairs. If anyone tried to come here, everything would blow up, destroying all evidence against me, as well as the bodies, so that not even a piece would be found. "Get on my back," I said to Jiaxing Er when I returned upstairs.
"What? Is it okay to do that, brother?" she asked, looking at me with eyes wide with surprise.
"Yes, we need to run from here as quickly as possible, so it will be easier for me to carry you," I said, offering her my back. After hesitating a little, she still jumped onto my back, pressing herself tightly against me, so that I could feel her soft chest even through the thick fabric.
