Chapter 173 - Chapter 173 Makka Pakka

"Old man, you're such a buzzkill."

The demonized Victor stood in front of Dracula, taking the Kraken's tentacle strike head-on. He shook his slightly numb claws and shot a displeased, sidelong glare with his crimson eyes at Van Helsing on the high platform.

His enormous fishtail slapped impatiently against the water, stirring up waves.

"Can't you see a forbidden love transcending species is playing out here? Have some tact!"

While complaining, Victor swung his sharp claws, forcefully batting away another tentacle attempting a sneak attack.

"Oh, Victor."

Dracula, holding Erica, hovered mid-air. Seeing Victor step in, he visibly relaxed.

He looked Victor up and down, taking in his ferocious yet strangely beautiful demonic form, and praised sincerely:

"Honestly, you look much cooler like this than your original form! It just seems a bit familiar..."

Dracula tilted his head slightly, a thoughtful look in his eyes as if sifting through the river of his millennia-long memories.

"I think... I saw something similar thousands of years ago? Ah! I remember now!"

He clapped his hands, suddenly enlightened.

"It was someone chased all over by an old man with a limp using a cane! Very hot-tempered, what was the name? Barbara? Or... Martha?"

Victor also played along, pretending to recall. He scratched his chin with a huge claw and guessed uncertainly:

"Hmm... I just thought about it, I saw her name recently, I think it was... Makka Pakka?"

"Oh! Yes, yes, yes!"

Dracula immediately nodded, wearing an expression that said 'you have the better memory.'

"That seems to be the name! I heard she was later sealed away in some backwater corner."

In Hell, Bansha, pinned down by Curse Blue and Dan, heard this conversation so absurd it traveled beyond the galaxy. She was so furious her entire demonic form changed from dark blue to purplish-red.

Countless tentacles on her body twitched madly as she let out a piercing, screeching roar:

"They're slandering me!!! This is slander!!! My name is Bansha! The noble Water Demon! Not some Makka Pakka!!!"

Curse Blue used all his strength to suppress his nearly exploding sister, a vein throbbing faintly at his temple, feeling an immense headache from this conversation.

Dan, helping to hold Bansha down, turned his head dopily and asked Curse Blue in a muffled voice:

"Big brother, when did Second Sister change her name? How come I didn't know? And didn't she always tell me she fought that cane-wielding old man to a standstill back then, almost snapping his cane?"

Curse Blue: "..."

He felt his demonic career faced an unprecedented challenge—

Not from the Immortal Deities, but from his teammates' intelligence and the enemy's nonsense.

"Shut up, Dan!"

Curse Blue hissed through gritted teeth.

"And Westwood! Stop laughing! Come help!"

The Sky Demon Westwood was already collapsed on the ground laughing, his bat wings twitching. Clutching his stomach, he let out a "gahahahaha" sound, a sharp laugh as if he were about to suffocate, waving his hand frantically while laughing:

"I c-can't... gahahaha... let me laugh a bit more... in Hell... gah... nothing this interesting has happened in thousands of years... Makka Pakka... gahahaha... Second Sister, you have a stage name too?!"

Bansha: "!!!!!!!!"

She went completely mad, struggling with such force that Curse Blue and Dan almost lost their grip.

"I'll kill them! I will definitely kill them!!!"

Back in Atlantis, Victor and Dracula were completely unaware of the storm they had stirred up in Hell, still chatting away by themselves.

"But speaking of which—"

Victor flicked his tail, looking at Erica in Dracula's arms, his crimson eyes sparkling with gossipy curiosity.

"Uncle Dracula, you're something else! How long has it been, and you've already charmed the lady captain into jumping off a cliff for you?"

A rare blush appeared on Dracula's pale face. He coughed awkwardly, but his arm holding Erica didn't loosen at all.

Erica, however, was more forthright. Though her face was also slightly red, she met Victor's gaze bravely, her eyes clear:

"Victor, thank you. And... I'm sorry for deceiving you before."

"Ah, it's nothing!"

Victor waved his claw dismissively.

"We're all family now anyway! Right, Uncle Dracula?"

He winked mischievously.

"But the priority now is to deal with that stubborn old man up there who insists on breaking up lovers, and this disobedient giant octopus."

He looked up at the Kraken, which had become frenzied again, and Van Helsing on the high platform, whose face was ashen as he prepared an even more terrifying melody. Victor cracked his neck, joints popping.

"Uncle Dracula, take Captain Erica somewhere safe to be lovey-dovey."

"Leave this place to me and my 'pets'!"

Before his words faded, the dozen or so ferocious beasts, empowered by the rat talisman, charged even more fiercely toward the Kraken!

Although their attacks were still somewhat chaotic, their sheer numbers and massive size managed to tangle up the Kraken, preventing it from focusing its full assault on Victor and Dracula.

Watching this chaotic yet vibrant scene, Victor's demonized face broke into an excited grin.

"Hehe, gang fights are my favorite!"

His enormous fishtail gave a powerful swing, propelling him like an arrow from a bow as he actively charged toward the Kraken!

Boom! Boom! Boom!

Victor's fists, covered in dark blue scales and carrying immense force, hammered down like heavy mallets on the Kraken's whipping tentacles!

Each collision erupted with a dull roar and visible shockwaves, violently churning the surrounding seawater into countless whirlpools.

"Haha! That's the spirit!" Victor laughed excitedly, a manic glint flashing in his crimson eyes.

Boom!

Before Victor could finish laughing, a tentacle as thick as a mountain range, carrying irresistible force and a whistling sound, slammed squarely into his demonized body!

"Thud—!"

With a dull impact, Victor, unable to liquefy in time, was smashed hard into the ground, sending rubble and dust flying everywhere.

"Hahaha! Yes! Just like that! Hit him good!"

In Hell, Bansha, who had been pinned down by Curse Blue and Dan, erupted into a wild cheer of delight upon seeing this satisfying scene. Her immense force even sent the unprepared Curse Blue and Dan flying!

Dan rolled clumsily on the ground twice, got up shaking his rock-embedded head, and said to Curse Blue, who had landed gracefully, in his muffled voice:

"Big brother, I think... Second Sister might really be crazy."

Curse Blue expressionlessly straightened his robe. His crimson eyes held a look of weary, detached acceptance of life's unpredictability. He waved a hand dismissively, as if giving up:

"Forget it, let it be. In the endless years of Hell, which demon hasn't shown signs of madness? It's inevitable sooner or later. Let her be."

He couldn't even be bothered to suppress Bansha anymore, simply floating to the side and silently watching the water mirror, as if saying: Do whatever you want... In the ruins of Atlantis, Victor climbed out from underground, flexed his slightly numb shoulder, wiped his face, flicking off water droplets and dust from his scales. His crimson eyes were filled with displeasure.

"Damn! The local monsters have no manners, attacking before I could even finish talking?"

He muttered, but his gaze turned completely serious.

That last strike made him realize that relying solely on the harassment from the 'pets' created by the monkey talisman and rat talisman wasn't quite enough to deal with an ancient behemoth of this level.

He needed to get serious.
