Chapter 433 - Genjo's Talent

"Wukong is a heart monkey and the heart monkey leaps restlessly, changing in an instant; with one thought it may rise to the ninth heaven, with one thought it may plunge into the four seas. Naturally, it resides in this humble monk's heart."

Genjo's smile did not change, and then he said softly, "Wukong, since the benefactor wishes to see you, then come out and let him take a look."

As soon as the words fell, a burst of golden radiance suddenly bloomed before Genjo.

Within the golden light, a tall and imposing figure condensed out of the void.

He wore a phoenix-winged purple-gold crown on his head, golden chain mail on his body, and lotus-silk cloud-treading boots on his feet. Every strand of golden fur on his body was distinct beneath the light, like a layer of flowing gold. His face was sharply defined, and his pair of fiery golden eyes shone with spirit. Even standing there without moving, he already gave off a towering, heaven-supporting aura.

At the same time, far away in the capital of the Land of Iron, Isshin's body stiffened slightly, as though at that instant it had fallen into some profound illusion-like dream.

Shinichi looked at the majestic Wukong before him up and down, clapped his hands, and laughed repeatedly. "Excellent, excellent! What a heart monkey, Wukong! What a Great Sage equal to Heaven! Truly worthy of being the victorious fighting Buddha who, in legend, protected master Genjo on his westward journey to obtain the scriptures!"

This so-called heart monkey, Wukong, in front of him was naturally the manifested form created by Isshin through the newly added manifestation function of the Incarnation talent.

Manifestation could not only summon a clone across space to one's side, but also customize the manifested body's appearance, physique, and even clothing during the process.

So Shinichi simply used Genjo's manifestation summon to shape Isshin into the heroic figure of the Great Sage Wukong from his previous life. In any case, Isshin had already fused with the bloodline of the Adamantine Monkey Clan; using a monkey to become a monkey was perfectly fitting, and matching it to Wukong was practically heaven-made.

After all, if there was already a master Genjo, how could there not be a Wukong?

As for this heart monkey Wukong, Shinichi planned to display it to the world in the future as Genjo's unique special ability.

And not only heart monkey Wukong alone, but there was no reason the other three students could not also be manifested one by one when the opportunity arose.

After all, one interpretation of Journey to the West that Shinichi had read in his previous life mentioned that the five-person scripture-seeking group was, in essence, a projection and embodiment of different aspects of the historical master Genjo's personality.

From that perspective, Genjo himself was originally the complete personality formed by the union of all five. If he were to display the other students to the world in the future, it would instead fit perfectly with that interpretation.

As for the main body and Isshin, he did not plan to use the manifestation function with them for the time being. He would first leave this one-of-a-kind special ability to Genjo and use it to help him establish a foothold in the Shinobi World.

As for the four-tails of this world, the red-haired ape named Son Goku by the Sage of Six Paths?

(Note: Literally meaning: Great Sage Equalling Heaven/ Son Gokū is the Japanese on'yomi rendering for Sun Wukong, the iconic legendary character from the classic Chinese novel Journey to the West known as the Monkey King, and is also used for the character with the same name from the Dragon Ball series.)

It might have been Son Goku before, but from this moment onward, it could only be the fake one.

Whoever Shinichi said was Son Goku (Wukong) was the real Son Goku (Wukong).

Still, after looking him over from top to bottom for quite a while, Shinichi could not help letting out a soft sigh.

What a pity, no matter how similar it was, in the end, it was only the appearance.

This Great Sage did not have the Golden Cudgel, nor did he possess the true divine powers to wreak havoc in heaven. Even that full set of equipment was merely an illusion simulated by the power of manifestation, not the Great Sage's true battle attire.

He wondered whether there would ever be a chance in the future to truly bring those pieces of equipment into existence in this world.

If he could personally forge a Golden Cudgel and then create a genuine set of the great sage's battle attire, only then would he truly have fulfilled a childhood dream.

After sighing once, Shinichi gathered his thoughts, stepped forward, assigned the two talents, Lightning Speed Reflex and Seeing Through Things as Clearly as Observing a Flame, to Genjo, then sank his consciousness into the clone's body and began carefully examining the various functions of this new body.

A few minutes later, Genjo opened his eyes again.

The first thing that could be confirmed was that this body was naturally born with all five chakra natures. Strictly speaking, it should be six, because, aside from Fire, Wind, Lightning, Earth, and Water, it also possessed the Light nature chakra.

There was no need to say much about that.

After all, while alive, the first Hokage had originally been an existence possessing all six natures.

Setting those chakra natures aside, Shinichi focused his attention on the more fundamental talents.

Overall, this body displayed terrifying talent far beyond that of ordinary people in five areas.

The first was vitality; the first Hokage, Hashirama Senju, had been honored as the God of Shinobi, and aside from the Wood Style power capable of pacifying a chaotic age, one of the reasons was his nearly inexhaustible life force.

That life force had now been fully inherited by Genjo's body.

Although it was still far from having grown to its peak state, the vigorous vitality already filling every limb and bone was enough to leave any Medical Ninja in awe.

The second was sensory ability. Although the first Hokage had been mocked many times during his life by his younger brother, Tobirama Senju, for having truly terrible sensory abilities, after examining the matter carefully himself, Shinichi discovered that this so-called terribleness was entirely relative to the second Hokage, whose sensory abilities stood at the pinnacle of the Shinobi World.

Genjo naturally possessed extremely sharp chakra perception and the ability to capture the aura of life. Without needing any active stimulation, every pulse of life and every fluctuation of chakra within several hundred meters would automatically enter his awareness. And if he actively released this sensory ability, the range and precision of his perception would even surpass the enhancement currently granted to Shinichi's main body by the Clarity talent.

The third and fourth were Earth Style and Water Style.

The essence of the first Hokage's Wood Style was the perfect fusion of earth and water chakra natures, further infused with the power of Light chakra nature to grant it life. Therefore, this clone's affinity for Earth Style and Water Style was something innate.

Although he had not yet actually performed Ninjutsu to verify it, Shinichi could clearly feel that when this body mobilized earth and water nature chakra, there was almost no obstruction at all.

The smoothness of its chakra circulation was many times greater than what his own main body had experienced when it first came into contact with those two natures.
