Chapter 2 - Tianzun's past Chapter (2) : Seeds of Deceit.

The storm had not yet calmed.

Even after the burial rites had begun, tension still lingered heavily in the air—thick, suffocating, and ready to explode at any moment.

Inside the hall, the family had gathered.

Their expressions were grim, their voices sharp.

At the center of it all—

The maid.

She stood there, trembling slightly, her hands clenched tightly against her dress as multiple pairs of eyes bore into her like blades.

"Explain yourself."

The voice was cold.

They demanded.

"Why was the boy inside the room?"

They asked—

The question struck like a hammer to the maid.

The maid swallowed hard, her lips quivering before she finally spoke.

"I… I told him to sit where I placed him and wait for me," she said, her voice shaky. "He said he was hungry, so I went to get him something to eat and drink…"

Her breathing hitched.

Tears welled up again.

"When I came back… he was gone."

Murmurs spread through the room.

"I searched everywhere," she continued, her voice breaking. "And then… I found him inside the funeral room… being curious and I—"

She choked.

Her body trembled violently as sobs escaped her lips.

"I… I was mourning for my former master… so I got lost in thought…"

"Enough!"

A sharp shout cut her off.

"It is YOUR responsibility to ensure the well-being of the current master!"

The accusation hit hard.

She flinched.

"I'm sorry… I'm so sorry…" she said repeatedly, bowing her head.

But even then—

Something didn't sit right with her.

She raised her head slightly, her expression conflicted.

"No…" she muttered weakly. "That's not all…"

The room fell silent again.

She clenched her fists.

"I did not let him go."

That statement drew immediate attention.

"I know the young master's character," she continued, her voice gaining a bit of firmness despite her tears. "He would never leave that seat on his own."

The family exchanged glances.

"He listens strictly to instructions. Even if someone told him his parents were around… he would not move."

Her voice sharpened.

"Not unless I gave him permission."

A ripple of unease spread through the crowd.

"So for him to go there…" she said slowly, her gaze sweeping across the room, "…someone must have told him his parents were calling him—and forced him to disobey my order."

Silence permeated the room.

The truth was heavy.

"And for that reason…" she added, "…I placed him under the CCTV camera."

So I will go and ask the control room director for the clip—

Let see who is involved in this matter.

Since her stay with her former master she had been giving doctrine on how to be careful cause anything can happen being a maid of a trillionaire young master.

At that moment—

Somewhere in the crowd someone body stiffened.

A bead of sweat rolled down their back.

Drip…

But before anything else could be said—

CLACK!

The doors burst open.

Police officers entered the hall.

"What is the meaning of this?!"

Gasps erupted.

Even the family members were shocked by the sudden intrusion.

The officers moved swiftly, heading straight for the maid.

"You are under arrest."

"What?!"

Before she could react—

CLICK!

Cold metal cuffs locked around her wrists.

The maid's eyes widened in disbelief.

"Wait—no! I didn't—!"

"You are being charged."

Chaos broke out.

"What is going on?!"

"Why her?!"

But amidst the confusion—

One man stepped forward, he was an ordinary looking, fat middle aged man at his late forties wearing a black suit and glasses with a gold diamond Jacob and Co wrist watch at his wrist

he was calm, collected and the leader of the group he was also the one everyone called Big Brother.

"I will handle this matter," he said firmly.

His presence alone was enough to suppress the noise.

Unknown to most some personnel had already been bribed.

All evidence wiped clean erased as if it never existed.

And just like that the narrative changed.

"She placed false accusations on the maid her words spread like poison.

One thing led to another.

And soon the maid was left in complete ruin.

She was made into a mess.

Left all alone.

"Something that started as a spark… has begun spreading like a wildfire, engulfing an entire city."

The true instigator…

Was none other than —Jin Rouyan.

A woman in her late twenties, beautiful, but vile.

Her dark brown hair framed her face elegantly, and her black eyes carried a chilling depth. Her figure was modest yet attractive—but even so…

But still she was completely overshadowed by the maid in beauty, presence and everything—

And that was also one thing she could not accept.

The others thought—

Their "little sister" and their partners had acted out of inferiority.

They were jealous, it was pure and ugly.

They hated it.

Yet—

They couldn't deny something else.

That maid…

Her beauty was unnatural.

Even without makeup, her face was flawless.

"…Tch."

Several men sighed, shaking their heads.

"Are we here for a burial… or a beauty contest?"

They couldn't understand it.

But deep down—

They knew.

Her beauty stirred something primal within them.

A dangerous desire.

"It's a pity…" one of them muttered. "Such a woman belongs to a small boy."

"And now…"

"Some jealous women within the family had use the power they had to throw her inside prison and even bribe the officials—

"…To keep her there longer."

They shook their head in pity

After silence followed.

Then—

The eldest brother spoke up breaking the silence with a question that cause them to rethink cause when the maid was accused out of jealousy all the women protested for her to go to prison using the little boy excuse to remove the cancer even to the point of them volunteering to take of the chiild if she goes—so now he asked

"Now that this has happened… is anyone willing to take care of the boy?"

The question hung in the air.

No one answered only deathly silence permeates the room.

Not a single soul speaking up to volunteers

Taking care of a child—

Especially one that young—

It was troublesome.And a burden.

They already had their own lives.

Their own responsibilities.

Then suddenly—a voice spoke up to volunteer.

"I will."

All heads turned.

It was Jin Rouyan who spoke up—

She stepped forward without hesitation.

PHEWW!!

They let out a sigh of relief as—

A wave of peace swept through the room.

"Thank goodness…"

"Finally…"

None of them wanted the responsibility.

So they were glad she accepted the offer.

The eldest brother, however—

Shook his head slowly in disbelief and frustration

He glanced at the departing maid taking by the police one and took a glance at the women one last time before clicking his tongue.

"FOOLISH WOMEN"

His voice was low, filled with anger.

They had took out his potential interest due to their jealousy and sense of inferiority.

His gaze drifted upward as his thoughts spiraled.

That face…

That body…

He remembered.

Those perfect curves.

That full chest—

Firm.

Untouched.

A sign she had never borne a child…

"…Amazing…"

His breathing grew heavier.

His eyes darkened filled with lust so raw and unrestrained

He was a man who did as he pleased and a pervert

And even now—

He was already thinking of how to bring her back…

And use the favor for helping her to his advantage.

Hours later…

The burial was over.

The deceased had been laid to rest.

Everything was complete.

Except—

The true victim.

Inside the hospital—

Tianzun who lay unconscious on the hospital bed.

Silent and still.

But suddenly got restless from his sleep—

A tear slid down his cheek.

"…Mom…"

"…Dad…"

His voice was barely a whisper.

From within his dreams—

He called out to them.

Suddenly—GASP!

He jolted awake.

His eyes snapped open as he clutched the bedsheet tightly.

Reality hit him all at once.

"No…"

Tears flooded his eyes again.

He began to cry.

Soft at first—Then became uncontrollable.

His small body trembled as grief consumed him once more.

CREAK…

The door opened.

He turned his head and saw her

"You…"

His voice trembled with anger.

"You're the one who told me my mom and dad were inside…"

She walked closer slowly.

"My condolences," she said softly. "I told you they were inside… and that was the truth."

His fists clenched.

"But because of your age… I couldn't tell you whether they were dead or alive."

His expression hardened.

"You said they called me."

His voice rose.

"If not—I wouldn't have left my seat!"

"You made me see it!"

"The truth!"

"You lied to me!"

Silence.

Then—"I'm sorry."

She stepped forward and hugged him gently.

"It was something you had to learn yourself…"

"…not from someone else."

Hearing this statement tianzun—broke down again and started crying

He was helpless in response to her word it was indeed right to see the truth yourself not hear from someone else.

She patted his back slowly, comforting him.

But deep inside—Her thoughts were different.

She was angered by his boldness even as a child he did not fear anyone

Secondly, he didn't say hateful words about the maid who hid the truth.

He didn't blame the maid.

Not once.

Instead—He confronted her for tellinvg him the truth

GRIT… her teeth clenched in frustration.

The truth?

She had been the one who ordered the maid to take him into that room.

But the maid refused her saying

"He was too young,".

Even when she used the elder brother's name—

The maid still stood her ground.

She replied let him tell me himself— if not young master is not leaving that seat

"He is too young."

That defiance…had ruined everything for her

Causing their plan to reach a stalemate.

So—They made a decision.

The maid had to go.

And she contacted someone…

A hidden hand.

The one who would make this operationpossible.

Lost in thought recollecting her flash backs got interrupted by the cough from tianzun

"Ahem…"

That sound snapped her back to reality.

Tianzun was staring at her.

His expression distant.

He gestured slightly.

Telling her to step back.

She immediately softened her face.

"Please forgive me," she said gently.

"It's okay," he replied quietly.

She moved closer again, wiping his tears.

Come to think of it you haven't eaten yet she said as she handed over some peeled fruit.

"You need to eat."

But he didn't respond.

It had been a while since he had eaten anything.

Yet—Nothing entered his mouth

Her patience was thinning.

Her expression twitched slightly, her eyes flickered with irritation.

But at last has to force herself to calm down.

Tch…

Taking a deep breath, she leaned closer.

"Boys who don't eat…"

"…don't grow strong."

She brought the fruit to his lips.

"Open your mouth."

The fruit touched his lips.

At this point—Refusing would be rude.

Especially since it was their first real interaction.

So—

For the sake of peace—He ate.

Afterward, she stood up.

"I will come back tomorrow."

She left some instructions with the nurse before heading out.

Tianzun slowly raised his hand.

"…Wait…"

He wanted to ask about the maid.

But—

Click.

The door had already closed.

She had gone.

He lowered his hand slowly.

"…Okay…"

"I'll ask tomorrow…"

With that thought—

He lay back down closing his eyes.

And once again drifted back to sleep.
