After Lacus and René were sent back to Sanguinem, they underwent treatment to purge the Demonic Aura and finally woke up one after another.
Inside the treatment room, a faint scent of medicine filled the air. The two lay on hospital beds, their faces still somewhat pale, but they were finally out of danger. Luke watched as their prosthetic limbs were fitted, frowning as he asked, "What happened?"
Given Lacus and René's strength, even if they couldn't win, they should have been able to retreat safely. How did one end up losing an arm and the other a leg?
"That bastard! I'm definitely going to drain every drop of his blood!"
Lacus's eyes were dark with malice as he spoke through gritted teeth, veins bulging on his forehead, clearly infuriated as he recounted the events to Luke.
"We were planning to return after secretly leaving a note in the middle of the night, but we were ambushed by that brat with the bow. My arm was blown off, and while René was carrying me, he was hit in the leg by that guy's reckless attacks."
Yoichi? Luke thought to himself. Oh! I forgot, Yoichi would risk his life whenever he encountered Lacus! But why did Lacus and René choose to leave a note?
When Luke voiced his confusion, René explained with a solemn expression the abilities of Shinoa Hiragi and Byakuya Akane that they had observed from the shadows.
Only then did Luke realize that Byakuya Akane and Shinoa Hiragi had met up with Yuichiro and the others. With them present, it was indeed wiser to leave information secretly; it was just a pity they were nearly hunted down by Yoichi.
After gathering a few more details, Luke departed.
Since current prosthetic technology was not very advanced, Lacus and René's strength had dropped significantly. Moving forward, they could only handle logistical matters. Though they were unwilling, they had no choice.
Because of this, René and Lacus hated Yoichi to the bone. Mere humans! They swore that one day they would have their revenge.
On the other side, the sun had already risen, and the sunlight spilling across the land felt warm and cozy.
Yuichiro walked toward Sanguinem without any concern along the way. His gaze was firm and his steps steady, completely unafraid of being discovered by Vampires. When he reached the entrance, the two Lower-ranking Vampires on guard spotted him immediately.
"Are you one of those humans who escaped?!" One of the Vampires wearing earrings recognized Yuichiro. A sinister smile appeared on his face as he prepared to lung at Yuichiro.
Yuichiro simply placed his hands on the hilts of onikiri and Mika, explaining calmly, "I'm just here for an appointment! Your Progenitor, Luke, is looking for me. I don't want to fight."
Yuichiro's voice was calm, but his eyes betrayed a hint of coldness.
The earring-wearing Vampire sneered and drew his blade to strike Yuichiro. "A mere human, wanting to see our Progenitor? Let me taste your blood first!"
His blade carried a glint of cold light, aimed straight at Yuichiro's vitals.
Yuichiro couldn't help but frown. A flash of blade-light passed, and the earring-wearing Vampire's face filled with disbelief. He hadn't expected that he wouldn't be able to keep up with this human's speed at all; in a mere blink, he was sliced in two and turned to ash.
His companion saw this and was about to move, but was also decisively cut down by Yuichiro.
Yuichiro stood up, brushed the dust off his clothes, and looked sharply into the depths of the entrance. Since the Vampires were so arrogant, he would have to improve his bargaining position.
Yuichiro decided to fight his way into Sanguinem! He wasn't the least bit worried that his actions might provoke the Progenitor into killing him directly.
Following secretly not far behind, Shinoa Hiragi couldn't help but be stunned by Yuichiro's actions. If she remembered correctly, Luke had invited Yuichiro to Sanguinem with a peaceful attitude, right? Even if the Vampires attacked first, why was he still planning to force his way in after fighting? Her heart was full of doubt, unable to understand Yuichiro's logic.
Shinoa had a bad feeling and hurried to chase after Yuichiro. she didn't want Yuichiro to do anything impulsive, as the situation was already complicated enough.
Yuichiro entered Sanguinem looking like a god of slaughter. Empowered by the dual demons, even Upper-ranking Vampires couldn't last more than a few moves against him. Wherever his blade went, Vampires fell one after another, blood splattering everywhere.
Sensing disaster, some Vampires immediately ran to inform the Progenitors.
Yuichiro didn't chase them, letting them go to report. What he wanted was to attract the Progenitors' attention to gain the initiative. He knew that only by showing the Progenitors his strength would they take him seriously. They had analyzed it: Luke asking him to come to Sanguinem to get stronger for no reason must have some deep meaning.
Only by observing the Progenitors' attitude toward him could he know his importance in their eyes. Even if he was no match for them, with the empowerment of the Demon King Mika and the Black Demon-class onikiri, escaping wouldn't be a problem.
Before long, the news of Yuichiro fighting his way into Sanguinem reached the ears of all the Progenitors.
Krul and Chess Belle were sparring with Crowley, and upon hearing the news, they stopped their attack.
Crowley rose from his chair, sheathed his sword, and a look of interest appeared on his face.
"Interesting. Let's end the training here; let's go join the fun."
Krul and Chess Belle also put away their swords and followed behind Crowley. The three of them walked toward Yuichiro's location, their faces filled with curiosity and excitement.
Lest Karr received the news and looked dissatisfied, his brow furrowed. He thought to himself, "Does this guy want to die?"
Although he really wanted to kill Yuichiro, remembering what Rig had said last night, his frown deepened. Yuichiro couldn't die yet. He sighed and shook his head helplessly; he could only see how things played out first.
Urd showed only a brief moment of surprise before returning to his usual calm, walking unhurriedly toward Yuichiro. His face remained cold, as if he didn't care about any of it.
Guren, on the other hand, looked furious and wanted to disembowel Yuichiro. Without waiting for Urd, he charged straight to the scene. His body was like a bolt of lightning, rushing toward Yuichiro. Urd didn't stop him, not worried that Guren would accidentally kill Yuichiro. He knew Guren's strength and trusted him to control his power.
Rig was in the middle of analyzing Guren's body and was enjoying it. He had intended to deal with the Vampire who disturbed him, but upon hearing the news, he left the lab, leaving Bastia behind to continue the research. The messenger Vampire felt the pressure on him vanish, unaware that he had nearly been hung up in the lab as a spare experimental subject.
In Krul Tepes's palace, Krul released her arms from around Luke's neck, looked up, and licked the blood from the corner of her mouth with a satisfied expression. Luke's blood was delicious no matter how many times she drank it, making her lose herself in it.
Luke got dressed again, playing with Alucard.
Krul found it strange that Luke wasn't acting foolish after being fed upon today. Usually, he would take the opportunity to flirt with her, but today he was acting out of character. She frowned, her heart full of doubt, and was about to ask when a Vampire knocked on the palace door.
The Vampire entered and reported Yuichiro's situation. After Krul and Luke exchanged a glance, they hurried toward Yuichiro's location.
