Chapter 60 - Chapter 60: Scoring Big in the Evil Cycle!

Inside Krul's palace.

"Let me go, you bastard! I'll kill you!"

Krul's face was filled with rage, her eyes almost spitting fire.

Luke had Krul pinned to the ground, and no matter how she struggled, she couldn't break free.

Krul's bed, unable to bear the weight of their earlier fight, had also collapsed.

This time, Luke had also gone all out. Combined with the fact that Krul's blood had already been half drained by him, Luke ultimately subdued Krul with ease.

Luke panted as he spoke.

"Had enough?"

"Get lost!"

"Seems you haven't had enough yet."

Luke grabbed the blanket, wrapping Krul inside it, leaving only her head exposed. Because the blanket was very large, he wrapped it around her several times, not fearing she could break free.

Luke propped Krul up, brought his face close to hers, and grinned mischievously.

"Lady Tepes, anything else you'd like to say?"

Krul stared fixedly at Luke's face, not answering, but her eyes said it all. For thousands of years, this was the first time she had ever felt such humiliation.

Luke wasn't disheartened; instead, he looked at Krul with great interest.

Their noses were less than five centimeters apart, and they could even clearly feel each other's breath.

Staring into Luke's starry, violet eyes, Krul ultimately lost the contest and turned her head away.

"Let me go!"

Luke's smile widened, and he shook his head.

"Krul, that's not the attitude of someone asking for a favor. You should at least offer something in return, right?"

Krul seemed to have softened slightly, but her attitude remained strong.

"What do you want?"

Luke pretended to think for a moment, showing a troubled expression, then finally stated his desire, a sly smile appearing on his face.

"I want you. Is that okay?"

Krul thought she had misheard, feeling surprised.

"What do you mean?"

Luke put away his smile and spoke seriously.

"I like you, Krul-sama! Over these eight years, you may have grown accustomed to my teasing, but today I am serious. I like you, Krul Tepes!"

Krul looked at Luke, who was sincerely confessing, and for a moment didn't know how to respond, her expression utterly bewildered.

Luke continued.

"When I first met you, I might have just liked your beauty, your appearance. But after these eight years together, I've realized I've truly fallen for you. So, can you give Krul to me?"

Krul felt like she was dreaming. To be honest, she didn't dislike Luke. But eight years was too short for Krul, who had lived for millennia!

Different from Ferid's teasing or Luke's previous flippant attitude, this time Krul could sense that Luke was serious.

This was also the first time Krul had ever received a formal confession, leaving her momentarily at a loss.

Faced with Luke's sudden confession, Krul couldn't bring herself to refuse. Did Krul like Luke? Perhaps a little. But Krul, who was focused on finding her brother, seemed not to have fully recognized her feelings for Luke yet.

After confessing, Luke let out a sigh of relief. He had finally said it! Normally, he might have been more hesitant, but now he was a new and improved version of Luke, and he wasn't going to worry about such things.

After his confession, Luke released Krul from the blanket.

Krul didn't move, just stood there dazedly.

Luke waved his hand in front of Krul's eyes, and she finally snapped out of it.

After letting Krul go, Luke smiled and said to her.

"I've let you go, so from now on, you're mine~"

"Bastard! I never agreed! I don't have time to play house with you!"

Luke waved his hand dismissively.

"Mhm, I know. Finding your brother, right? Then, when I help you reunite with your brother, that's when we'll officially start dating. How about that?"

Krul stared at Luke in astonishment, her mouth slightly agape.

"How do you know?!"

Luke didn't answer directly, instead continuing to ask, his eyes filled with anticipation.

"Krul, do you accept my proposal? When I help you find your brother, that's when we'll be together!"

Although surprised that Luke knew of her deep concern, Krul, unexpectedly, did not refuse. As if guided by some unseen force, she responded.

"Fine! Luke, I agree."

Luke hadn't expected Krul to agree so readily. Feeling somewhat surprised, he added.

"Actually, even if I help you find your brother, you don't have to keep your promise. I hope you'll accept me when you truly fall for me. I'll wait for you. After all, I don't want to use your feelings as a bargaining chip in a transaction."

Hearing this, Krul's heart was thrown into disarray.

This was the first time she had heard such sincere words from a male other than her brother.

Luke felt that saying more might annoy Krul. He smiled and left Krul's room.

Krul wanted to call out to stop Luke, but didn't know what to say, so she let it be.

Only then did Krul survey the state of the room. The bed had collapsed, and their earlier fight had dirtied the blanket and sheets. She needed a new set.

Krul wanted to go out and order a subordinate to bring a new set, but she was afraid of facing Luke.

Today's Luke gave Krul a very forceful impression, more forceful than even herself! She wondered if he had taken the wrong medicine.

Now that she had calmed down and stopped overthinking, Krul suddenly felt weak all over.

"Need to drink blood..."

Krul hadn't drunk Luke's blood for three days, nor had she drunk any other human's blood in the meantime. Today, Luke had also drained a significant amount of her blood.

After drinking too much of Luke's blood, drinking other humans' blood made her feel as if she were allergic to it, uncomfortable all over.

Krul squatted on the floor, propping her head up in frustration, wrestling with whether or not to go find Luke for blood.

That's right! He's my servant! He should do whatever I say! Today, he actually dared to defy me, hmph! He'll have to pay the price in blood!

Suddenly, Krul sniffed the air. It was the scent of Luke's blood!

The smell was coming from outside the door.

Krul opened the door and saw a goblet filled with blood placed at the entrance.

Krul glanced around but didn't see that bastard. However, a faint, elusive smile appeared on her face.

Krul picked up the cup and took a small sip, her mood improving considerably.

At least that bastard has a bit of a conscience!

Meanwhile, Luke was also in an exceptionally good mood. On one hand, his confession hadn't been outright rejected. On the other hand, today he had Miku capture many adorable reactions from Krul.

But his favorite, of course, was that close-up 'ferocious' yet 'cute' photo with their faces pressed together.

Luke hummed the tune of "X.U." as he walked out of Sanguinem.

Feeling pretty good, I'll go play with the Vampire Extermination Unit on their mission outside.
