Third person's p.o.v:-
All of them finished their breakfast. Jihan went to his office, Kevin went to his university and the three still had a bit of time left because their class would start an hour later from the usual time.
But they still went to the university on the actual time because yesterday's punishment is not forgotten by them.
They were walking on the usual route. They were talking about random things.
"Hey! You remember that Professor Yang gave us an assignment that was due on Thursday?"
Minhyuk asked. Jiwoo nodded.
"Yeah! What about that?" She asked.
"Tomorrow's Thursday." Minhyuk said with a smile and Jiwoo's eyes widened.
"Yo! What assignment?" Jaekyung asked.
"It's a duo assignment. You were absent that day, Jaekyung." Jiwoo replied. "But how can we complete it in a day?" Jiwoo asked.
"Since Jaekyung has no partner because he was absent and we don't have much time, how about the three of us make it together?"
Minhyuk asked. Jiwoo and Jaekyung nodded their heads happily. "You're a saviour man!" Said Jaekyung. "Yup! I agree." Jiwoo replied as well.
"That's settled then. We will study in library before the lecture starts. As we're going early, we will have a lot of time." Minhyuk said.
"That's a good idea. Can't believe I'm saying it." Jiwoo said. Minhyuk smiled and started to tease her by ruffling her hair.
"What do you mean you can't believe what you're saying, huh?"
Jiwoo said, "hey! Stop ruffling my hair. You're ruining 'em." Jaekyung joined in too.
"Ugh! You too?! Just wait you both!"
Jiwoo said. She immediately freed herself from the both of them and smacked the back of their heads.
They hissed in pain and she smiled, completely satisfied. Then they entered the university while fighting over every useless thing.
But that's how they kept their heads clear all day, not paying attention to the hate, the fake posts spread by Ahyeong. Jiwoo gave a buck to nothing.
She simply stopped caring about it. Or she just appeared to be like that. Because deep down, she still had that one thought.
'Why?'
This one thought had a big impact on her. Though she didn't want to care, she actually wanted to. She wanted to cry, she still felt like a big lump's in her throat.
Everytime she wants to speak, she just can't bring herself to say the words. She just keeps thinking,
"Why would she do that? Had she never really thought of me as her bestfriend?"
The thoughts kept circling her mind. But then a snap brought her back to reality.
She looked at the person who snapped their fingers infront of her and obviously that was Minhyuk.
"Yes?" She asked.
"You didn't answer me. I asked about this one line. How can I expand it into like more lines for better information? I couldn't understand this one properly."
"Oh, I- I just spaced out. I'll explain it. So it says that....."
Jiwoo explained it to Minhyuk and he listened intently. Actually, he knew where her mind wandered off to. He did that to make her forget about it. Jaekyung noticed it but got back to his work. He was doing his research differently.
Then they talked about their research. Each of them had their own point of view. But they still made it better by merging their ideas together.
They completed their assignment almost too immediately. Even the three of them were shocked.
"Wow! It's not even a complete hour and we've completed our assignment so fast."
Jaekyung said happily.
"Well, you helped us a lot Jaekyung. Thank you!" Jiwoo replied and Minhyuk glared at her.
"What?" He asked, still glaring at her.
Jaekyung as if sensing what's happening with his bestfriend, immediately spoke up.
"Don't thank me! You both did most of the work. I should be thanking you for taking me in the group or else I would be dead meat tomorrow."
Jaekyung said nervously and Jiwoo smiled at him. Yet Minhyuk's glare got even more worse.
Jiwoo looked at him and got scared.
"What's wrong with you? Aren't you happy that our assignment is completed?"
Jiwoo asked, half scared and half suspicious of Minhyuk's behaviour today.
He brought his face closer to hers.
"You didn't compliment me. Where are your manners?"
Jiwoo frowned at his question and flicked his forehead. He hissed in pain and he backed away, rubbing the specific area on which he was hit.
"You don't need compliments. Is what your reply would be if I appreciated you. But yeah! You did great. Very good!"
Jiwoo replied sarcastically. Minhyuk smiled in victory.
"She was being sarcastic." Jaekyung said to which Minhyuks smiled vanished and he glared at Jaekyung.
"So what?"
Before they could go further wih their bickering, Jiwoo stopped them, reminding them that their class is about to begin.
"Guys! Stop! Class is about to start let's go before we're late."
The three of them got up, picked their things up and went to the class the teacher was not in the class.
As they entered everyone got silent. Well, the reason was obvious. Even though Jiwoo decided not to think about it, everyone still talked about it.
New photos were being uploaded.
The three of them sat in the third row. Jaekyung got his phone out and opened the groupchat of the class. He saw the posts that were being shared and he was shocked.
"How can anyone stoop so low?"
He thought.
He showed the photos to Minhyuk, failing at th attempt to hide them from Jiwoo.
In addition to those disgustingly edited photos, there were now posts where unknown people started to speak up about her bullying them.
[ xx: she's just like that! She's a bully.
Xx: yes! I once asked her for help and she slapped me telling me to get lost.
Xx: I'm happy that someone showed us her true face. I thought she was nice. ]
And many nasty comments like that.
Jiwoo had saw them. She was on the verge of tears. But she controlled them. She tried to gulp down that lump, forming in her throat.The thought ran in her head again.
"Why is she doing that?!"
