Ethan's POV
My blood was still boiling as the alphas ran away like scared little rabbits. I pulled my pheromones back in completely and took a deep breath to calm myself down. William stood right beside me, looking a bit shaken but trying his best to stay strong. Seeing him like that made my chest feel tight with worry. He was so brave, but he should not have to deal with this kind of mean treatment all by himself.
I gently put my hand on his lower back to comfort him. "Come on, William. Let me walk you to my car. I don't want you walking alone right now."
William nodded quietly. We walked side by side across the school parking area. I kept looking around carefully, ready for any more trouble. My Enigma instincts were on high alert. Those teammates had gone too far today, and it worried me a lot. What if they tried something even worse next time? I would not let that happen.
