Lirien's POV
I was now seven and a half months pregnant.
My belly was very big and round. It felt heavy when I walked, and the babies moved a lot inside me. Sometimes they kicked so strongly that I had to stop and breathe for a moment. Vael and Davis were always by my side. They helped me walk slowly, held my hand, and made sure I never carried anything heavy.
Today we had a hospital check-up. Vael drove carefully while Davis sat in the back with me, holding my hand the whole way. He rubbed my big belly gently whenever the babies moved too much. When we arrived, they helped me out of the car and walked with me into the hospital, one on each side.
The doctor was a kind older man who had been taking care of me since I left the hospital after the shooting. He smiled when he saw us walk in.
"Come in, Lirien. How are you feeling today?"
I sat on the examination bed while Vael and Davis stood close to me, one on each side.
