Vael's POV
The babies kicked again, all three at once.
I froze, my heart beating fast with worry. My hand stayed gently on Lirien's round belly. Davis looked the same, his eyes wide and concerned.
"Lirien," I asked softly, my voice a little shaky, "are you sure? Does it hurt? We can stop right now if you're in any pain."
Lirien looked up at us with flushed cheeks and loving eyes. He was breathing a little fast, but he smiled.
"I'm sure," he whispered. "It didn't hurt. It just surprised me. Please… don't stop. I need you both. I need to feel you inside me."
Davis kissed Lirien's forehead gently.
I took Davis's place between Lirien's legs. My body was screaming to go faster, to bury myself deep and hard, but I held back. I didn't want to hurt him. Not even a little. He was carrying our triplets, and he was still healing.
