Chapter 54 - The Lifetime of Piao: Chapter 52 — Hold Your Tongue

After the exploration of the Piao Family treasure trove,

the Piao sisters made their way toward the meeting room.

Stopping before the door that led to the meeting room,

Angel turned to Angela and said,

"Hey, when we get in there, try your best not to flip out, okay?

Don't try to rebut anything. Don't try to say anything unless prompted.

Also, try your best to listen to what they're saying.

Even if what they're saying is extremely wrong, don't do anything.

This is an extremely formal meeting, and we can't just throw a fit, okay?

Just listen and hear what they have to say."

"Okay," Angela replied.

Angel patted Angela on the shoulder.

"You will get a chance to speak, eventually.

But that chance is not now.

And it won't be until sometime later. Do you understand?"

Angela nodded at Angel's words.

"Yeah, I understand."

After the talk, Angel's eyes gazed down at PewPew in Angela's hands.

"Are you sure you still want to bring him in there as well?"

"Yeah," Angela said. "He needs experience too."

Angel audibly sighed.

"Also," Angela added, "bringing PewPew will allow me to record the session and go back to the parts that I need to review before making my decision. Because there's a high chance that I won't be able to catch everything that's being said, especially since they're most likely going to use professional language when speaking."

Angel's eyebrows knitted together.

"You know that recording people secretly is a capital offense, right?"

"Well," Angela shrugged, "they already signed an agreement to allow their face, voice, and likeness to be broadcast and recorded throughout this meeting, did they not?"

"I mean… true."

Angel was not fully convinced, but before she could say anything, Angela continued.

"And," Angela emphasized, "they all know that this is a live broadcast, right? And whenever the Piao Family does a meeting at this scale, it's always a live broadcast. And when it's a live broadcast, the Piao Family does not control whether or not people record those videos and distribute them."

"I see where you're going with this," Angel replied. "And I don't like it."

Angela chuckled at her sister's words.

"So," Angela continued, "since the Piao Family is always public about their affairs, and the public can do whatever they want with the recordings that are available to them, what's the difference between me recording this publicly advertised meeting and using it for my own use?"

"…You're making some good points," Angel admitted defeat.

"Alright. Just be cautious, okay?"

She reluctantly gave her agreement.

"Oh, by the way—"

Angel clapped her hands together as if remembering something.

"You already removed the link to the main stream, right?"

"Yeah," Angela replied. "I did a long time ago. This is just for private use, only for me."

"Good," Angel said. "That would have led to a lot of problems."

"Anyways, shall we go in?"

"Yeah, let's go," Angela replied.
