Introduction -
"When you realize there's a chance to bring back your loved ones, those who created beautiful memories with you, everything changes. When you witness their death, and their eyelids close for the last time, it becomes more painful... especially if they were not of your faith, and all they desired was a single moment to declare their testimony, only to end up in hell. And you end up lost, between moments that will never return."
(The story is set in 1660.)

---
Tariq: Come, Omar, look at this sword.
Omar: What is this, Father?
Tariq: This sword is from our origins; it's a sword called the Khopesh.
The last one I made was just like it when I was with a friend. Try to hold it.
Omar: Alright.
(He holds the sword)
Omar: Oh God! It's so heavy.
Tariq: Do you want to try making one with me?
Omar: Of course.
Tariq: First, you must understand that this sword comes in many sizes, but its length should be between 50-60 cm. We shape the front like this to break the armor of whoever it faces.
Omar: What is it made of, Father?
Tariq: Originally bronze, and now iron. In the past, more than 200 years before Christ... but we study swords. The use of this sword stopped despite its power...
Omar: You seem to love swords. Why did you become a blacksmith?
Tariq: It's a long story. I won't tell you until the right occasion, in the place that will bring us all together.
Omar: I don't really know what you're saying, but I want to try the sword as soon as possible.
(After finishing its creation)
Tariq: What do you think, Omar?
Omar: Oh God, Father, it's magnificent.
Tariq: Alright, I'll melt it down and make something else for you with its materials,
like a necklace.
Omar: No! I want to keep it with me.
Tariq: You will hurt yourself if you keep it.
Omar: No, this is the first time you've made something for me, and I want to keep it.
Tariq: Fine, but you won't touch it until you're older. Keep it in the attic.
Omar: Alright.
Layla: Alright men, it's time for breakfast.
(After three years of using and training with the sword)
(A group of criminals comes to humiliate Tariq. They arrogantly grab swords and break them while Omar watches his father)
???: What is this junk?
Tariq: These swords were made for peace, for defense...
(The criminal stomps on Tariq's face with his foot. Tariq starts to bleed, yet he does nothing)
(From young Omar's perspective, he was confident that his father could easily defeat them. But Tariq looks at Omar and smiles. In that instant, Omar went to play marbles with the neighbors)
After that, news spreads of the death of one of the criminals who had assaulted Tariq. Everyone believes Tariq is the cause. The entire gang gathers at his house.
Tariq: I didn't do anything to him. I repented from such acts a long time ago. If anyone did this, it must be God's will.
Gangster: Are you kidding us? God wouldn't take his soul without someone killing him.
Tariq: Then how would he die? Tell me.
Criminal: Shut up! Shut up, you animal! If it turns out you killed him, your head will be hung above your house as a warning.
(The criminals leave, and Omar arrives)
Omar: Why are you joking with me? Why do you make others think you're weak or that you killed him? You won't kill, and at the same time, you show them weakness!
Tariq: Listen, you know the truth, and that is enough for me. It doesn't matter,
because the day you take a step you cannot take back... for that, if you are not cautious in one step, strive for another path unlike me.
(After more than a day of trouble with the local criminals, Tariq hears that a woman is dying. He runs to find out who it is, only to discover it's his wife. In that moment,
Tariq took the step he could never return from. He gripped his sword,
his eyes black with rage, his hands forced by his weakness to finally act.
He went to every member of the gang, killing them one by one,
until he reached their leader. As he held his sword, the gang leader's men swarmed him.
Tariq plunged his sword into the leader's stomach as all their swords were thrust into his own body. He did not cry, nor did he remember the irreversible step in which he forgot his son.)
(Omar sits in front of the house, waiting for them to come home,
for days and days and days... All the food in the house began to run out.
He tried to go to others to ask for food, but...)
???: Cursed child.
???: Why should I give food to the son of a murderer?
???: I won't talk to the likes of you.
???: Get out of my face, you bastard child.
Omar: Why all this? I haven't done anything to you! On the contrary,
I used to play with your children. My father didn't kill anyone.
My father doesn't kill. My father and mother will be back soon, you'll see.
They will definitely be back.
(The days continue to pass...)
Omar: The food is gone.
(Omar takes a knife and goes to the lake in Egypt. He tries to fish in several failed attempts until he finally catches one. He then tries to hunt rabbits but fails,
until one time he manages to kill one. He becomes self-reliant.
The first year ends with him in the same state, until one day, in his spare time,
he starts learning from some books his father had left behind. To keep from going insane,
he read until he memorized them completely. He began to develop and learn the meaning of being alone from one of the books, but he didn't understand how fate could be written while one is alone. As he sits on the floor thinking and looking at the ceiling,
a man of about 28 knocks on the door.)
???: Hello, boy. I'd like to rent a room for a few days.
Omar: No one will rent any of these rooms.
Mohammed: Listen, boy, my name is Mohammed. I'll give you money just for a place to sleep. You know they can't have a man like me living with girls in their homes, so please,
do you agree?
Omar: Hmmm... Fine, but you'll pay me a single coin for every day you live here,
and I don't accept delays.
(A few minutes later)
Omar: Here is your bedroom. It's my parents' room. Don't get it dirty.
Mohammed: May I ask a question? Where are your mother and father?
Omar: I don't know, but I don't need them anymore.
Mohammed: Alright, I'm going to sleep. Don't come near my things or I'll kill you.
Omar: Don't worry, I don't go near other people's things.
Mohammed: That's good for you. I don't remember what I have to do now.

Sword of Eternity: The Long Covenant's Journey
???: Mohammed
Hair: Black with white streaks
Age: 29
Eyes: Blue
Height: 186
....
(Mohammed wakes up the next day. Before he leaves, he sees Omar sleeping on the floor.)
Mohammed: Why are you sleeping on the floor?
Omar: Noooo Yasmine, the food is mine!
Mohammed: Wake up! Why are you still sleeping?
Omar: Ah, yes... What? Who are you? Oh, you're Mohammed. What do you want?
Mohammed: What do I want? Get up. I'm leaving for a while. I just wanted to wake you up so you'd know, and I could leave my things with you.
Omar: No, I won't be here. I'm going to catch some fish from the lake.
(After a while, Omar begins to watch Mohammed from a distance before heading to the sea)
???: Who is this man?
Mohammed: Alright, I want to buy some spices, wood, and some iron.
(At the woodshop)
Mohammed: Excuse me? I'd like to buy some wood.
Seller: It's 25 milliemes for 15 pieces of wood, and any crafted pieces are 45 for the same number.
Mohammed: Tell me, who is that boy who lives alone in that house?
Seller: You mean that boy?
Mohammed: Yes.
Seller: His father went to kill a gang. He killed 6 men, and then they killed him. Frankly, we hate to see homeless children or anyone connected to those gangs, so we don't want to help him.
Mohammed: And where is his mother?
Seller: I don't know. But now, what would you like to buy?
Mohammed: Give me 30 pieces of wood.
(Omar stops watching Mohammed and heads to the sea)
(When Mohammed returns home, he finds Omar has also returned and is grilling fish)
Omar: Do you want some fish?
Mohammed: Why not?
(He starts eating)
Mohammed: Listen to what I'm about to say carefully. I came to this town only to take slaves with me. Slaves are the best kind to teach.
Omar: What are you saying? Why?
Mohammed: They are the ones without a good history or memories. If you teach them what they desire, they will be the best; they have the will.
Omar: Okay, and what else?
Mohammed: I want to take you with them.
Omar: What? Why would I want something like that? I live a good life here. I eat what I want, it's perfect.
Mohammed: You know, and I know, that you are sad. I know why you live alone, and I also know why you don't care. Because a year has passed, and nothing has happened.
(Omar starts breathing heavily)
Omar: I don't want to be in this state.
Mohammed: I saw the sword. It's almost perfectly made. Your father made it,
and I know you can make one just like it if you try hard.
It will be stronger and better, and you can become the best in the field in your father's name. That way, you'll make him happy as he wished in his past.
Omar: Okay, listen, I agree. I have no other way in life but to agree, or else I'll go mad from all this.
Mohammed: We will go to Japan a week from now. Get ready for this journey.
Omar: This quickly?
Mohammed: There's no time left for delay.
(Here ends the first chapter of Sword of Eternity: The Long Covenant's Journey.)
