The room remained peaceful as the first rays of morning sunlight slipped through the curtains.
Logan slowly opened his eyes.
For a few moments, he simply lay there, enjoying the rare calm.
The weight resting against his chest immediately drew his attention downward.
Daenerys was still asleep.
Her dark hair spilled across his shoulder, and her expression, usually so composed and confident, looked surprisingly soft in sleep.
A small smile tugged at Logan's lips.
Seeing her like this felt different.
Comfortable.
Safe.
He brushed a loose strand of hair away from her face.
The simple gesture was enough to stir her awake.
Her violet eyes blinked open lazily before settling on him.
"Good morning," Logan said quietly.
Daenerys studied him for a moment before a faint smile appeared.
"Good morning."
She stretched lazily before settling back against him.
"How was your night?"
"It was quite relaxing." Logan commented, standing up.
