Synopsis
deep in the infinite libraries of the Kingdom of avarice resides one of many ancient keepers except this one isn't so ancient. as a new hire, this keeper is at the lowest of the rungs primarily given the task of receiving and reading journals of fallen adventurers found by others and magically transmitted to the library for processing and remembering. on top of that, when they are not working, they are tasked with reading previous historical journals to help learn and understand why these journals are kept in the first place. join them as you delve into the history of a world of magic and technology, life and death heroes and villains. this is something I have been wanting to try out for a while. every time I try to write a book I get writer's block. my way around that play Minecraft with a bunch of mods to make it a more fantasy style world and use this app to keep a journal. my focus changes with the tides and while I will return to the game unless these journals (hopefully) they would likely be very long random hiatuses. if you do enjoy these, it's best to keep it in your back pocket. how this will work is for every in-game day I will write in the journal, every five entries will be a chapter as it is being played in hard mode, the journal will end when the character dies. as such, I will start a new world with the same mods. there will likely be some changes in mods that affect what the character can do (for example, one would be capable of crafting staffs and using magic and the other will be capable of building gadgets and meck suits). once every boss is defeated (mod included) or a specific goal is met the world will go into a new age which will signify a change in the primary mod (like switching from better on bedrock to rlcraft with an infection mod in between to explain why) the characters will also speak and take notes differently (as best I can, sometimes it's hard to keep in character) including time, day and even location. there will also be tidbits of lore within the author's note and an explanation on what the world's lore is. I will do my best to keep things consistent. and if you somehow managed to read the entirety of this thing without getting bored and losing interest. kudos! you are the f****** goat

Chapter 1 - journal #1 Sir Austin Newburgh

Entry 1, Day 1, Night, Home

I have finally gotten to my new land claim. It's very cold place full of tall spruce trees in the middle of a forest. A place like this camping outside is definitely a bad idea. As such, I built a rather nice house. While it only has two rooms, it's fairly big considering the interior is about 9x9. I haven't been able to furnish it yet and the roof's not even done but at least the zombies are outside and I am in.

Entry 2, Day 2, Night Home

Last night I finished the roof. It wasn't too difficult. No skeletons out. Luckily enough and I had just enough wood to complete it along with extra to build enough fences to line a small farm. On top of that I managed to catch sight of some lights which I investigated today. Turns out I've got a neighboring village. After some short investigation, I managed to convince him to give me some potatoes to grow. Definitely a worthwhile endeavor. However, I still need a bed. I can just hide in the building when phantoms spawn but the enchanted ones are not going to go away in the morning.

Entry 3, Day 3, Night Home

The farm is built however I'm out of wood and I need some to start decorating. On top of that I still need to get a mine or at least a mine shaft. I am in desperate need of ores and stone. On top of that, I can't even go outside right now. It is currently snowing a lot and I can see at least three skeletons out there. Not going to try that yet. Well at least I have porridge.

Entry 4, Day 4, Night Home

Okay, I lied a little bit. Eventually the skeletons left and I found a chance to go and explore a little. I decided to head in the other direction from the village I found. Ended up finding the local wizards Hut. Friendly guy. Let me take one of the purple crystals that he has all over his house. Those were exactly what I needed to create. One of my most useful inventions an ore detector. Now all I need is five iron and wood. Shouldn't be too hard however, before I actually get the iron, I would like to create a melter to maximize the amount of iron I get per iron.

Entry 5, Day 5, Night Home

Not much is happening. I have not been capable of crafting the melter yet (while getting the other supplies I completely forgot to get stone) beyond that not much. I know it may seem a bit much too right down the location and the day mainly because I prefer to write down a journal entry for every night however, I do plan on traveling and who knows what's going to happen. Then I might have to go a night without an entry and I might have to write an entry when hiding in a cave. So I want to try and keep this consistent.
