Chapter 58 - The threats of the Prophet Talib, the Demons of Hellfire and an ancient alien scourge.

Meanwhile at the Emperor's palace Fu and the Emperor were making love in

the Emperor's bed chambers, and hence Fu was having an affair with the Emperor

without the knowledge of Commander Kesh. "You were right, I always thought Kesh's loyalty was shaky from the start. And with this its proven." said the

Emperor. "Don't worry your little head," Fu said as he stroked the Emperor's hair,

"we will deal with all of these worthless insects and afterwards you'll gain eternal

life and you can sit on the throne of God himself," said Fu. The Emperor drifted off

to sleep as Fu stared at the wall with a sinister grin thinking to himself, "Soon

Kesh, I will deal with you and the ilk you've chosen to side with."

General Kesh entered the room where all of Daniel's friends were ready to

give them a synopsis of all the problems of the empire including the one they came

to this world to deal with. General Kesh introduced himself and explained the

intricacies of three threats. First: the self-proclaimed Prophet Talib on the Planet

Thebes who along with his followers were destroying neoplasm mines and

destroying other resources vital for the empire on that small outpost desert planet.

Second). The threat of "the Plague," which was a terrible alien horde of monsters

with terrible forms, grotesque with disgusting tentacles and tendrils and whom ate

other life forms and violated other lifeforms through rape, murder and absorbtion

into the hive, and finally the demons of hellfire who according to some sources

were the underlings and army of the thought-to-be mythical fallen angel, Lucifer.

General Kesh entered the room with an air of grim determination. The space was a

stark contrast to the chaos outside—neat and orderly, with a sense of calm that

belied the turmoil brewing beyond its walls. Talus, Fu, and the others were gathered around, their expressions a mix of fatigue and curiosity. Kesh took a seat

at the head of a long table, his posture conveying the weight of the information he

was about to deliver.

"I appreciate your patience," General Kesh began, his voice

steady and authoritative. "I am General Kesh of the Imperial Fleet, and I am here

to brief you on the current threats facing our Empire, including the very issues that

intersect with your mission." He paused for a moment, allowing his words to sink

in before continuing. "We face three primary threats that are of grave concern." He

began with the first threat, his expression serious. "The first is a rogue figure

known as Prophet Talib, who has declared himself the leader of a radical faction on

the planet Thebes. Thebes is a small, arid planet crucial to our Empire for its

neoplasm mines and other vital resources. Talib and his followers have been

systematically destroying these mines and sabotaging our operations. Their actions

are severely impacting our resource supply, which is essential for maintaining both

our military and economic stability."

Kesh's gaze shifted to the assembled group, making sure they understood the

gravity of the situation. "This is a significant issue because it affects our strategic

capabilities and economic strength. We need to neutralize Talib and his followers

to restore order and secure our resources." He moved on to the second threat with a somber tone. "The second threat is

what we refer to as 'the Plague.' This is an alien horde of monstrous beings with

grotesque forms—tentacles, tendrils, and the capacity to absorb other life forms

into their hive. They're not only a physical threat but also a biological one, as they

spread infection and corruption wherever they go. Their advance has been

relentless, and their presence is a serious danger to all forms of life, including our

own." Kesh's face grew darker as he described the Plague. "The Plague is a threat

that transcends mere conflict; it's a matter of survival for every living being in the

region."

Finally, General Kesh addressed the third threat, which seemed to carry a

particular weight. "The third and perhaps the most insidious threat is the demonic

forces of Hellfire. According to our intelligence and ancient sources, these demons

are under the command of what is believed to be a fallen angel—Lucifer himself.

Though some consider him mythical, recent events suggest that the demons are

real and that their ambition may be far greater than previously thought." Kesh's

gaze was intense as he looked at Talus and the others. "The demons' presence

poses a significant risk not only due to their destructive capabilities but also

because of their potential to destabilize the very fabric of our world. They are a

dark force driven by malevolent intent and have the potential to wreak havoc on an

unprecedented scale." He leaned back in his chair, allowing the gravity of his words to settle.

"These are the threats that currently challenge the Empire and, by

extension, the broader world. We understand that your arrival and involvement

might be connected to these issues. I urge you to consider how your objectives

might align with our efforts to combat these dangers." Talus exchanged a glance

with Fu and the others, his mind racing with the implications of Kesh's briefing.

"We do need to address these threats," Talus said, his voice resolute. "And if our

objectives align with the Empire's goals, we can work together to confront these

dangers." Kesh nodded in agreement. "Precisely. Collaboration may be our best

chance to address these multifaceted threats effectively. Let us move forward with

a shared purpose and see how we can tackle these challenges together." The room

fell into a focused silence as each member of the group absorbed the enormity of

the threats outlined. The stakes had been raised, and the path ahead was fraught

with peril, but there was also a sense of purpose and resolve as they prepared to

face the battles that lay before them. The Empire was growing but it had enemies

nibbling at its heels from every direction by either a Holy warrior Prophet, a swarm

of alien parasites or demons from the bowels of hell.

Meanwhile, on planet Thebes a man in garb with dark skin and a black beard

(the garb resembles the Bedouin Arabs of Arabia) approached the King of Thebes,

King Thraletep III. The man pulled out a simple single scroll, a parchment of paper

about 20-21 inches long and read the following; "King Thralatep III: In the name of God the great and mighty Hubal, and his Holy Prophet Talib, the Messenger of

Hubal (may Hubal grant him eternal blessings and peace) has declared a holy war

"al-Jihad," on your realm if you do not adopt the religion of God and the Prophet

or at the very least pay tribute or break away from the Demonic Empire for which

you are currently a vassal to. O' Thralatep, in the name of the one true God Hubal,

whom Talib is his holy Prophet, I beseech to heed the call of Hubal's religion and

surrender your forces to the "Ansar" (the holy warriors)." The man put away the

scroll of paper and went on to stand before the King on his throne. The man 'the

king' stood up and simply said calmly, 'kill him, remove his head immediately.'

Two soldiers grabbed the follower of this Prophet but he didn't even resist. He

simply got on his knees and said, "Hubal is the one." As soon as he said this one of

the two soldiers used a sword to decapitate him and the man was nothing more

than a corpse. The king simply tapped his fingers afterwards and then he spoke: "I

will never give the victory to this Prophet, and I will never be his slave."

"My liege," said one of the soldiers, "The Prophet has just massacred the

entire population of the city of Khaybar and all the tribesmen loyal to us have

either been massacred or enslaved by the Prophet. He has declared a holy war on

us, and he is claiming that we will be destroyed by the will and might of Hubal. He

says your domain will fall under the shade of my spear." The king tapped his fingers, "send the troops to Al-Khulsa if we starve out the Prophet's followers, they

will fall, said the king.

Meanwhile the Prophet was in a state of Fana 'a state of annihilation' and he

began to speak from the voice from the outer world. "Hubal tells me that the

chosen one is almost here, he will fight alongside me in this holy war and he will

be the liberator of the people from the Shaytan." Omar Khattab responded by

saying, "where will this chosen one come from?" The Prophet ran his fingers along

his beard and then tears dripped from his eyes, his lips trembled and he said, "The

Imam Al-Mahdi will come from beyond the stars and he will bring liberty and

true religion into the world," said the Prophet. The Ansar were outside riding giant

bear-like aliens with their swords and weapons in their hands. The Prophet left to

enter his harem of concubines, many of them taken from the recent spoils of war

and the Ansar waited with baited breath.

Back on the imperial ship, Daniel and the others were eating food in a mess

hall with the exception of Ungar who did not eat at all nor had the need to ever eat.

The others around them got closer to the old companions. A weird big breasted

blue alien leaned forward, "so you must be the new guys, General Kesh holds you

in high esteem," said the woman. "Tsk, that's just because Merle Haggard over

here had to shoot his eye lasers into the palace of the emperor," said Zaiyal gesturing towards Talus. The girl with a dumbfounded look on her face said, "that

was you?

What kind of person are you?" said the woman. Talus continued to

shovel food in her mouth, not paying her any mind. "Are you ignoring me! What is

your problem?!" said the woman. Daniel stepped in, "lets all calm down, there's no

need for any conflict here." The blue alien woman glared at Daniel, her irritation

barely contained. "Oh, really? And what exactly do you plan to do about it?" she

challenged, her voice dripping with sarcasm.

Daniel raised his hands in a placating gesture, trying to diffuse the tension.

"I'm not trying to cause trouble. I just think it's best if we all get along. We're on

the same side here, after all." The blue alien's gaze shifted to Talus, who remained

unfazed by the commotion, still focused on her meal. "He doesn't even care about

what happened," she said, exasperated. Zaiyal rolled her eyes. "Talus doesn't do

'caring' unless it's about the next bite of food. It's nothing personal." The girl next

to the blue alien leaned in, whispering something Daniel couldn't catch. He saw the

woman's demeanor soften slightly, but the tension in her shoulders remained.

"Well," Daniel said, trying to steer the conversation, "if you're here to get to know

us, why don't we start fresh? Tell us about yourself."

The blue alien's expression shifted from hostility to curiosity. "Fair enough,"

she said, her tone less combative. "I'm Xara. I'm part of the diplomatic team assigned to assist with the integration of new allies. And this," she pointed to the

girl beside her, "is Lyra, my assistant." Lyra gave a small, shy wave. "Hi," she said

softly. Daniel offered a friendly smile. "Nice to meet both of you. I'm Daniel, and

this is Talus and Zaiyal. We're still getting used to everything around here, so any

guidance you can offer would be appreciated." Xara seemed to consider this for a

moment before nodding. "Alright, we can start with that. But just so you know, the

galaxy's full of surprises, and not all of them are pleasant. If you need help

navigating any of it, don't hesitate to ask."

Talus, finally taking a break from her meal, looked up with a glimmer of

interest. "Sounds like you've got some stories to tell."Xara's expression softened

further. "Oh, definitely. And I'm sure you all have a few of your own." As the

conversation shifted to a more amicable tone, Daniel felt a sense of relief. It

seemed like they were starting to bridge the gap, one story at a time. There was a

strange bird like creature, "My name is Quilope, its nice to meet you all," said the

gigantic bird-like creature. Quilope tilted its head, the beak curving into what

seemed to be a bird's version of a smile. "Ah, I see. You're the new members of

our team. I've heard quite a lot about your recent adventures."

Talus, always interested in new and unusual beings, leaned forward. "Adventures,

you say? Sounds like you've got some interesting tales yourself." Quilope's eyes twinkled. "Indeed, I have seen many things in my travels. I am a scout and

messenger for the coalition. My duties take me to the farthest reaches of our

territories." Zaiyal raised an eyebrow. "A scout? That must be quite the job. What's

the most unusual place you've ever been?" Quilope ruffled its feathers

thoughtfully. "Well, there was a planet where the entire ecosystem was based

around floating islands, and the inhabitants had adapted to life in the air. It was

quite the sight to see." Lyra, her eyes wide with fascination, chimed in. "That

sounds incredible! What was it like to interact with them?" Quilope's gaze

softened. "They were graceful and serene, living in harmony with their

environment. It was a reminder of how diverse and beautiful life can be, even in

the most unexpected places." The group exchanged looks of awe and curiosity.

Even Talus, who had been mostly focused on her food, seemed intrigued. "Well,

Quilope," Daniel said, "it sounds like you've had some amazing experiences. I

think we could all benefit from your stories." Xara nodded in agreement. "Yes, and

it's always good to hear different perspectives. It helps us understand more about

the universe we're all a part of." As the conversation continued, the atmosphere in

the mess hall grew warmer. Each new story and shared experience seemed to draw

everyone closer, making the vastness of their surroundings feel a little smaller and

more connected. Talus spoke up, "you know I can tell you the story of how they

got together as I've read all of their minds without their consent."

All of the men and women soldiers looked at Talus with curiosity making it clear that they wanted

to listen so Talus began. "The story begins with a boy named Daniel who was

killed by a car in his world and woke up on another planet in another dimension

called Helios. He was met by Ungar this big lug right here and he took him to the

god Ebisu who would be his sponsor as 'the Gatekeeper.' He began to train with

Zaiyal, fought a few cyborgs sent by some demon king and then defeated Sarai

who nearly destroyed the planet after which he spared his life. Then he fought

Narcis who planned to dominate the world and defeated him sparring his life,

afterwards Narcis practiced Sunyata and turned to Buddhism. Some time later

demons attacked his university and Daniel along with the others had to travel to the

outer world where they defeated his father Ebisu who had transformed into a

dragon. After this some time passed and Daniel and the others began their quest to

stop the resurrection of this creature named Lord Tep, an old friend of theirs Tatu

who formally was trying to conquer the world and sacrificed his own life to stop

the monster. In the end Daniel prevailed. Several years after that Daniel and

company came to this world where they met yours truly, entered the tournament of

heaven and were impressed into the army of the Empire, so I guess we're all

caught up," said Talus slurping down some creamy noodles. All of the people

looked with slack laws and twitching eyes. Xara said, "Well, I guess he literally

told us your life story."

A loud voice was heard over the intercoms, "everyone we've landed on

Thebes, our mission is to subjugate the Prophet Talib and his followers. Prepare

yourselves in five minutes we will be dropping you into enemy territory."

Everyone suited up putting on their armor and getting their guns ready. A green

light appeared after five minutes and our heroes were thrust into the desert

tribesmen charged at them in an attempt to kill them. But Talus for his part dodged

and weaved as he cut the Ansar down with his claws. Talus laughed as he struck

them down. Meanwhile Daniel fought them with his Spirit Blade killing 10 of the

desert warriors in a matter of seconds. The arid landscape of Thebes stretched out

before them, a stark desert punctuated by the flurry of tribal warriors charging

towards them. The contrast between the serene mess hall and the harsh reality of

combat couldn't have been more pronounced.

Talus immediately engaged with the Ansar, his claws slashing through the desert

warriors with a brutal elegance. His laughter, though chilling, was a testament to

his confidence and the thrill he derived from combat. Each strike was precise and

deadly, cutting down opponents with ruthless efficiency.

Daniel, wielding his Spirit Blade, moved with a fluid grace. The blade, glowing

with a spectral light, cleaved through the desert warriors. In mere seconds, ten of

them fell to the ground, their attacks stymied by his swift and powerful counter-strikes. His focus was unwavering, each swing of his blade a decisive

blow. Meanwhile, Xara and Lyra, though initially taken aback by the sudden onset

of battle, quickly found their footing. Xara coordinated their team, her tactical

mind working swiftly to assess the battlefield. Lyra, though less seasoned in

combat, used her agility and training to support their allies, providing cover and

assistance wherever needed. Zaiyal, in her element amidst the chaos, fought with

her usual blend of skill and sarcasm. Her combat style was a mix of precision and

flair, turning each engagement into a display of both lethal efficiency and theatrical

bravado. Quilope, despite its size, proved to be an invaluable asset. The massive

bird-like creature swooped and dove, its talons and beak tearing through the Ansar

lines with formidable force. Its presence provided a crucial advantage, breaking the

enemy's momentum and creating openings for the rest of the team. The desert air

crackled with the energy of battle. The clash of steel and the cries of combatants

filled the atmosphere as the team fought their way through the desert tribesmen.

Despite the overwhelming odds, their coordination and prowess began to turn the

tide in their favor. Daniel, catching sight of a particularly determined group of

Ansar attempting to flank them, signaled to his team. "We need to push forward

and take control of the area. Keep an eye out for the Prophet Talib." Talus, grinning

as he cleaved through another warrior, gave a nod. "Got it. I'll handle the front

lines. Just don't let anyone slip through." The team pressed on, their movements synchronized and their spirits high. With each enemy they dispatched, they carved

a path through the desert, determined to fulfill their mission and confront the

Prophet Talib. As the battle raged on, their bond as a team was solidified, each

member relying on the others' strengths and covering their weaknesses. The desert

of Thebes was unforgiving, but their resolve was unshakable. They would meet the

Prophet Talib and complete their mission, no matter the cost.

Eventually a voice was heard, "the Prophet has arrived!" The old man with

the red beard, blue eyes and white skin appeared. He leaped through the air an

astonishing 30 feet and stood back up cracking his neck, "the voice from beyond

has foretold of your coming, Gatekeeper," said the Prophet. Daniel was shocked,

and stuttered, "How do you know who I am?" he asked. The Prophet unsheathed

his sword, "the voice from the great beyond told me everything Daniel, I have been

ordained with the seal of Prophethood," said Talib. Daniel unsheathed his sword

and the elf and the Prophet clashed their swords together. Daniel parried Talib's

attack and Talib blocked all of Daniel's attacks. Talib began to shoot beams of

energy from his hands while he flew through the air in an attempt to end the fight

with Daniel. Xara, observing the fight, shouted over the din, "We need to help him!

He's at a disadvantage against that energy!"

Talus, his claws still dripping with the blood of his enemies, grinned. "I've

got this." With a powerful leap, Talus charged toward the Prophet, aiming to

distract him and give Daniel a chance to counterattack. As Talus engaged Talib

with ferocity, the Prophet momentarily shifted his attention, allowing Daniel a brief

respite. Seizing the opportunity, Daniel focused his energy and launched a series of

precise, powerful strikes. His Spirit Blade glowed brightly, channeling his resolve

and strength into each blow. The Prophet, caught between the dual threats of

Daniel and Talus, struggled to maintain his advantage. His energy beams grew

erratic as he fought to defend against Talus's relentless assault. With a powerful

swing, Daniel managed to break through Talib's defenses, landing a decisive blow

that sent the Prophet staggering. Gritting his teeth, Talib raised his sword one last

time, preparing for a final, desperate assault. Daniel, matching his intensity,

summoned the full might of his Spirit Blade, ready to end the fight once and for all.

As the final clash approached, the fate of their confrontation hung in the balance,

each combatant driven by their own determination and the weight of their

respective destinies. Talib wiped his face and snapped his fingers and the entire

opposition collapsed to the ground in an instant. "That was some fight you put up,

but I will have to show you the truth," said the Prophet.

Daniel's eyes slowly opened and he realized he was in the tent of the

Prophet. The Prophet looked at them and said, "by the one who holds my soul in his hands, I have foreseen your coming." Daniel woke up and asked the Prophet,

"if you speak for God then what is the point of all of this?" The Prophet said, "the

Lord wishes to speak through me, so he can speak to you," after saying this the

Prophet's eyes rolled back into his head as he said, "I was a hidden treasure and I

wished to be known.

So I created the world, so that I could be known." After these

words had left the mouth of the Prophet his eyes rolled back over and he with a

deep breath, "these are the words of your lord." There was a moment of calm and

then the Prophet began to describe everything that was happening that the Emperor

was really the Dajjal [the reincarnation of Satan]. The Prophet said there is one

with him who is the true Dajjal and the true Shaitan. After listening to this Xara

spoke up, "that's a lie the emperor would never betray us!" Her outburst broke the

tense silence, and everyone's eyes turned to her. The Prophet, seemingly unaffected

by the outburst, continued with his eyes closed, as if in communion with a higher

power. "The truth is often harsh and difficult to accept. The one who controls all

affairs puts a lock on the hearts of all those who do not want to listen. But for some

the lock will be broken. Only God knows who will die with the lock on their heart

or those who will have the lock broken and indeed God knows best. The one you

follow, who appears as your protector, is the very embodiment of darkness and

deception. He is against his Ansar and his people. O' people know that I have only

spoken the truth. For I have nothing to hide from you or my lord."

Daniel looked at Xara, trying to gauge her reaction. "Xara, we need to consider

what the Prophet is saying. We've seen strange things and heard unsettling

information. If there's even a possibility that the Emperor is not who he seems, we

need to investigate." Xara's face was a mask of frustration and hurt. "But how can

we trust this? We've been allies with the Empire for so long. If we can't trust the

Emperor, who can we trust?"

Talus, who had been quietly observing, finally spoke up. "Enough of this horse

shit! This man is clearly a Prophet if he says the Emperor is evil I guess he is. I

should know I once worked for Lucifer," he said with a grin. "Yes you are a Jinn

from the outerworld I know all about you, Talus," said the Prophet. Talus changed

his form and shapeshifted into the form of the Prophet. Talus in the Prophet's form

smirked, "if only it was so simple, you know the might of the empire, you must

certainly fear death," said Talus. The Prophet said, "By Him in Whose Hands my

life is! I would love to be martyred in Allah's Cause and then get resurrected and

then get martyred, and then get resurrected again and then get martyred and then

get resurrected again and then get martyred." There was a short silence before the

Prophet said, "I have nothing to fear from death, I know the bounty is with my

lord." The tension in the tent was palpable. The Prophet's revelation had cast a

shadow of doubt over their mission and their allies. The team was at a crossroads, faced with the challenge of reconciling their trust in their allies with the startling

claims made by the Prophet.

Daniel took a deep breath, trying to steady his thoughts. "We need to gather

more information and verify these claims. Acting on incomplete information could

lead to disaster."

Xara nodded reluctantly, though her eyes still held a trace of anger and

disbelief. "Fine. But we need to be careful. If we're going to investigate this, we

must do it discreetly and with caution."

As they prepared to leave the tent, the weight of the Prophet's words hung heavily

in the air. The group knew they were entering a complex and dangerous situation,

but they also understood the importance of seeking the truth, no matter how

unsettling it might be. The quest for answers would lead them into deeper conflicts

and uncertainties, but it was a path they had to walk to uncover the reality behind

the Emperor and the true nature of their mission.

Finally Commander Kesh spoke up, "Why should I listen to you." The

Prophet looked at him and said, "because you will be the next king of this great

empire." Kesh stepped back staring into the blue eyes of the Prophet. "Oh really,

well alright I don't need to hear anything else, I was going to wait longer before I

made my move but since you are indeed a Prophet and I know now that I have providence on my side, I must make my move against the Emperor." Commander

Kesh left the bed chamber, and Ungar spoke directly to the Prophet, "I assume you

know who I am?" said Ungar. The Prophet "You are a being who was born and

reborn among the stars, and you have lived countless lives to the mortal mind

would appear immortal, you are among the people of the stars, the celestial ones

who indeed are helpers and friends of God, and nor shall they ever grieve," said the

Prophet. The Prophet pointed to Narcis, "and you shall be a Messenger, and you

will bring true religion back into the world and release us from the age of Kali and

the power of the Shaitan, and you are the great Martreya who will defeat the great

Shaitan," said the Prophet. The Prophet got up to leave and simply said,

"Tomorrow we head to the fortress which we have confiscated from the Empire,

there I will teach you the ways of the Mujahideen." As the Prophet departed, the

room was left in a charged silence. Each member of the group was grappling with

the new information and their evolving roles in the unfolding drama. The Prophet's

declarations had set in motion a series of events that would lead them deeper into

the heart of conflict and revelation. Daniel, Xara, and the others exchanged looks

of determination and uncertainty. The path ahead was fraught with peril, but it was

now clear that their destinies were intertwined with the larger forces at play. The

Prophet's teachings and the looming confrontation with the Emperor would be

pivotal in shaping the future of their world and their own fates.

As the team prepared to move out the next day, their thoughts were consumed by the weight of

the Prophet's words and the formidable tasks that lay ahead. The quest for truth

and the struggle against darkness had become a defining journey for each of them,

and the battle for the soul of the empire had only just begun.
