Chapter 42 - New Trainer

'Is that her? Please be cute... Please be cute...!'

Koji stood still in the living room, looking at the tall door in pure anticipation and speculation of what's to come--his obvious want was for her to be hot, for many easily explainable reasons.

'Though, I must say--even if I'm a bit sad, I'm glad to have a more specified tutor.... And Lin wasn't exactly my favorite overall; this should be different! If she is specifically here to educate me on Lightning Mantra, then all of her teachings should be at least mildly interesting. However, if they aren't, then I'll still have to pay attention.'

Koji desperately felt the need for more knowledge; it would become the biggest help to him later on in his journey, and although he had long ago--already nine years ago, started his life on this world, he had not explored any of it. His experience, if compared to the depth of an ocean that is this world--it would only be at the top of the sunlight zone!

While yes, he may have the knowledge of the Soul Mantra, he still lacked execution--though, most importantly, he knew not of the troubling matters regarding his transmigration.

Those troubling matters, whether to his liking or not, would eventually catch up to him. They are like dogs hunting on him; if he is caught, their jaws will not hesitate to maul him.

Koji shook his head and was brought back to his senses; his eyes moved to the side, where Mei was hurrying to open the door--the look on her face showed embarrassment, which was warranted; she was already over 30 seconds late to opening the door!

Mei grabbed the door, twisting the nob quickly and breathing in fast, preparing herself for the next moment--the moment she would meet her sons teacher for the next four years of his life.

The door quickly opened, and the scene was rather... Undramatic indeed.

A short woman stood, her face showing a nervous smile; the light green eyes of hers sparkled in the sun, and her dirty blonde hair flowed down her small frame.

"Welcome Cecilia! Sorry about the door, I was a little busy..."

Mei spoke with a friendly, but nervous tone; she was glad to finally see Koji's new trainer, and was also nervous about making her uncomfortable.

"Oh, that's okay; it really wasn't a problem for me to wait a little..."

Cecilia smiled, and her embarrassment faded away; after all, she was a teacher--she had to talk to students all day, a simple greeting wasn't hard for her.

"We are so glad you're here, Koji is very excited to start his new class with you! And really, Cecilia, thank you for coming so quickly; we heard that you are a great teacher so we look forward to having you teach him."

Mei's words slightly flattered Cecilia, and her pale face showed it brightly; her cheeks slightly reddened, and her bright smile grew bigger.

"Why thank you Mrs. Mei! I'm sure Koji will be great, you said he's only nine right? I only have one other student who is his age."

Though, as she mentioned the other student, her face slightly darkened. Quickly, her smile returned and she tried to dispel her thoughts of the student.

"Is something wrong? Sorry if I'm talking too much Cecilia--you can come in now."

Mei was slightly embarrassed at Cecilia's frown, but still understood her--well, thought she did.

However, Cecilia was appalled at her misunderstanding, she didn't want to seem rude to her new customer! Not only that, she genuinely enjoyed the small conversation they were having.

"No, no! Mrs. Mei, I was frowning due to something else--believe me, I don't mind talking!"

Cecilia's hands waved around as she clarified; in fact, she had been using her hands a lot when she spoke--obviously, she had a habit of it.

"Oh, my bad; though, you really should come in. I have been holding you up long enough!"

Mei slightly laughed as she spoke the last part, and was very glad Cecilia was easy to talk to; she felt that they may even become pretty good friends, well, as long as Cecilia never hurt Koji in any way.

Cecilia, throughout the conversation had been trying to ignore how exhausted Mei looked; it was a bit apparent that she was up to some rather... Private activities before answering the door.

"Alright, thank you for letting me in Mrs. Mei."

She decided to keep her last response short and simple; after all, she was excited to meet her new student, who was only nine!

Cecilia put her large, brown bag down on the floor and sighed as the weight was finally lifted from her fingers; she then looked over and saw Koji.

'She is cute... She is very cute!'

Koji rejoiced inside of his head as he saw Cecilia's appearance; she was exactly what he had been hoping for in his new tutor.

'Wow, she is definitely more dressed up than most...'

Cecilia had brown robes, but a white dress underneath; her brown robe had many areas that transformed to dark green instead, which exaggerated the sparkle of her green eyes.

Cecilia walked over to Koji, and smiled as she started to speak; her pink lips moved apart gracefully, which Koji watched with special attention.

This cute girl, he would for sure pay attention to every word she said; well, that was if he could resist being distracted by, well--other, certain things.

"Hi, you must be Koji! I'm Cecilia, your new teacher."

She smiled as she spoke in a rather gentle tone, which was because Koji was only nine. Also, she found him to be quite cute despite his gloomy black hair and black eyes.

'Wait, what do I say? She's looking at me!'

It's not that her was very nervous because of her appearance; Koji was just not able to come up with a good response to her words!

Cecilia stared down expectingly at Koji, but still patient; she knew some kids were talkative, and some were not.

After a little, Koji finally came up with something.

"You will teach me Lightning Mantra?"

'Fuck! Was that the right thing to say?!'

Koji slightly cringed inside as he said it, but nonetheless he was happy he at least responded with something that wasn't completely retarded.

Cecilia liked Koji's curiosity, and promptly replied; this time, her hands went up in the air and did different signals as she spoke a little too much for the question Koji asked.

"Yes! That's right, I will teach you all the ins and outs of the Mantra; including the knowledge of it, and of course--the knowledge on how to use it! Lightning Mantra is such a fun one, and you will love it! Firstly, I will teach you basic knowledge of the Mantra; after that, I will let you use some Relics. Eventually, you will become rather proficient in it. Little Koji, I hope you can get along with me, because I do look forward to teaching you."

Throughout her speaking, she made various expressions; usually, people would not make many different expressions as they spoke. However, Cecilia was extremely prone to it.

'F-fuck! How am I supposed to pay attention when she keeps making those cute expressions and moving her hands around like that!? Tch! Okay, let's see... Well, at least I got the basic idea of what she said.'

Koji tried not to show his internal feelings on his face, and he succeeded in that; right now, his face just had a look of slight interest in her words.

However, despite his internal struggle he still needed to ask questions; even if he struggled to pay attention to her answer.

"Where will Ms. Cecilia be teaching me?"

Cecilia was glad he asked, because if he didn't--well, she would have mentioned it eventually.

"Well Koji, every day you will be taken to my house--when you get there, you will see around 10 other students. I hope you can get along with them; not all of them are learning Lightning. In fact, I teach many other Mantras; I think you will love it even though most of them are older than you. Guess what?"

Koji listened carefully and tried not to get distracted by her odd mannerisms, and when she asked the question he was caught slightly unprepared.

"What?"

Cecilia's smile brightened on her face, and she quickly explained despite her earlier disdain for this topic.

"There is another student your age! Yes, he is only nine just like you; I think both of you will get along greatly."

Koji's dark eyes beamed with interest as she said that, and his thoughts ran slightly wild.

'A kid my age? That means... That means he is probably a genius! There's no way he's from another world like me, which simply means he has great talent. I do need to befriend him, what if he becomes crazily powerful?'

Cecilia giggled as she saw Koji's face brightened; though she may not like speaking of the student, she felt that Koji's interest evened it out. If her new student was happy, she was happy.

Cecilia had a deep care for children particularly, which is why she became a teacher--to see a child happy, it really was amazing to her.

"Well, your training actually starts today! Are you ready to go Koji? Don't worry, when night comes you will go home."

Koji was ready, very ready to start his new training!

"Yes Ms. Cecilia!"

He kept it short; Koji did not want to drag this out longer than needed.

'The sooner I start the better.'

...

After, Cecilia led Koji out the house and got onto a carriage with him, which was pulled by 2 horses with two small horns on their heads; their fur was white and they had bright, red eyes; Obviously, they were much different from the ones on earth. They were pulling a brown carriage, the carriage that held Koji and Cecilia within it.

Koji didn't know whether he should start a conversation or just stay silent, so he defaulted to staying silent. After all, he had lots to think about, and while he may be able to think while she was speaking--it was not the easiest.

'So I should definitely befriend this other kid, though I hope he is cool. I wonder how big the age range is... Will there be teenagers there too? If they are, then I may get beat up by them for being so young! No, wait I forgot--in this life, I am not ugly... They shouldn't have too big of a problem with me right?'

The carriage rocked as it was pulled across the bumpy, stone road. Koji looked outside the window and saw the center town, where there were many people walking and having fun with each other; he also saw a couple city guards, which is similar to what Ivan was working as.

The town was very big, and it took the carriage many minutes to travel outside of it; it was then it went through a forest and grassland, until finally it stopped upon a large, wooden house.

It had a large fence that cascaded over the land around it, and within it was nothing but pure grassland.

"Actually Koji, you are special. Today everyone else had their parents take them here, but you came with me!"

Cecilia let Koji come with her because Mei had specially asked her to; she was not one to deny a customers request and also felt it would be fun to let Koji ride with her. Though, she did expect conversation--conversation which she did not get, but she was not one to complain.

"I see them!"

Koji looked outside the carriage window, and on the grass field he saw around nine kids standing there, and most of them looked 11-12; however, he saw one that was smaller than the rest.

The kid that was smaller had bright, red hair and red eyes; what he was doing was rather odd, and Koji's eyes widened.

This kid, he was peeking up a girls skirt!
