Through the mirror in the depths of the sea, Hyuga saw all of this. A scene that would remain carved into his memory and soul forever.
He whispered with a trembling, disbelieving voice: "What is this? No... this cannot be real! Impossible... Rose?!"
Emotions of wrath, grief, and madness swept through the Ice Lord's being, made all the worse by hearing Rose's weak voice uttering her final words filled with pain and sacrifice.
The Ice Lord's power erupted incredibly, an energy of pure rage, as cold as death. The giant tentacle holding him froze completely, then shattered into tiny pieces!
Hyuga roared at the beast with a voice dripping with pain and malice: "Is this your justice then? Huh?! How can this absurdity be called justice? Answer! It is true that those above survived thanks to her, but... the one who deserved life more than anyone else has died now! A nine-year-old girl meets such a hideous fate because you are blind? Is this justice?!"
In that moment, the Ice Lord changed completely. His heart, which had held some mercy... froze entirely.
Hyuga roared again at the beast: "Is this balance in your opinion? Answer me! How does the death of a pure child achieve the balance you were created for?"
Amidst Hyuga's blind rage, thousands of soldiers made of solid ice formed and attacked the Covenant Beast with insane ferocity. The Covenant Beast likewise formed its soldiers to retaliate, and the epic clash began.
But, amidst all this chaos, Hyuga paid no attention to the soldiers. He launched like a deadly spear toward the legendary ice beast, shaped a giant three-pronged ice spear, and with brute force plunged it into the heart of one of the beast's tentacles, repeating this on the remaining seven tentacles, pinning them to the rocks.
Then he used his sword coated in "Thin Ice" and began dicing the legendary beast's body into tiny pieces in a bloody massacre that expressed the depths of his anguish.
But the beast began regenerating again, and launched a full-scale counterattack.
The Ice Lord stood, activated his maximum power which could cost him his life, and froze the entire aquatic area for dozens of miles!
Hyuga said, his voice carrying the chill of death: "It is true that I cannot destroy you forever because you are immortal... but I can seal you in hell."
The Ice Lord used all his spiritual and physical power to create a complex, forbidden magical ice seal. It was not easy; he bled from his eyes and mouth, but he succeeded in the end. The Suppressor Beast of the Covenant was sealed in an unbreakable, eternal ice prison, sinking into the silent, dark depths of the ocean.
Afterwards, Hyuga looked at the magical mirror that still reflected Rose's image, and his eyes watered. He used what remained of his power to form a small ice eagle, sending it piercing through dimensions toward Rose.
Rose was between life and death when she found a beautiful ice eagle standing beside her, trying to urge her to get up.
Rose smiled calmly, and through the eagle, she spoke to Hyuga's soul, saying: "Ice Lord? What is wrong? Are you trying to hide your tears? For I can see you through the mirror too. Who is the child now? Heh... Did I do my duty perfectly?"
When she heard the Ice Lord's voice choking through the mirror as he said, "Yes."
Rose smiled, her eyes tearing up, and said: "Thank God. But now, I am departing from life... so, would you listen to my final will? I want you to keep this necklace, and never leave it. It will always be the connection between us. Will you?"
Hyuga replied with a tearful voice: "I will."
Rose continued peacefully: "Good. It was wonderful to be in the Ice Eagles Squad with you and the comrades. I am glad."
And after uttering these words, Rose closed her eyes forever.
At that moment, the ice eagle picked up the necklace with its beak, then flew up and crafted a small uniform representing the Ice Eagles Squad, placing it upon her respectfully. It then wrapped around her, covering her in a delicate coffin of pure ice to preserve her body. The eagle flew back to the Ice Lord and gave him the necklace.
The Ice Lord grasped the cold necklace, pressed it to his chest, and whispered: "Rose... thank you for everything you gave. I will never forget you. Not me... nor anyone else."
Above, the victorious heroes returned to the village, followed by the rest of the neighboring tribes to celebrate. When they arrived, everyone searched for Rose to lift her on their shoulders and thank her for the miracle that healed all the villages and saved them from death.
But... they did not find her.
They searched everywhere, until they entered the storage cellar beneath the Chief's hut... where they found a small body covered in pure white, delicate snow, embraced by the uniform of the Ice Eagles Squad, with the badge of the Vice-Commander gleaming upon it.
Volak looked in terror, trying to calm himself as he took a step back, saying with a trembling voice: "It is not her, right? It is impossible to be..."
Before Volak could try to wipe the snow from her face, he heard the Ice Lord's firm and broken voice stopping him, saying to him: "Volak... do not do it."
Volak looked at him with tears gathering in his eyes, and said with a broken voice: "Commander... even if it is her, maybe she is still alive... Commander, tell me, what are you doing with Rose's necklace? Answer me! It belongs to her, so why are you carrying it?"
The Ice Lord did not speak, but closed his eyes in sorrow. Volak's anger flared, and he tried to rush forward to remove the ice, but the village people grabbed him and held him back.
Volak and all the members of the Ice Squad wept bitterly, but Volak broke down completely, screaming with a heart-rending voice: "My sister! Give her back to me!"
Sorrow and silent mourning prevailed. Rose, the little hero, was buried in the exact same place where she sacrificed her life. On the day of her burial, the atmosphere was solemn, silent, and crowned with snow.
Even the warriors of the legendary "Shadow Sword Clan" in their entirety... attended the funeral from afar atop the mountain peaks, offering a military salute in respect for the soul of the little healer who had saved everyone.
