CHAPTER 58 I HAVE TO FIND DOMINIC
I scream at the nurse, my fingers digging into her desk until my nails click against the plastic.
"Where is he?" I demand, my voice shaking with fear and anger.
The nurse looks scared, her eyes wide as she stares at my hair and the mud drying on my coat.
"Ma'am, you need to calm down or I will call security," she says, trying to sound firm.
Then Liam steps up behind me, slamming his badge onto the counter.
"I am the security," he says, his voice firm and commanding.
"Room 314 is empty. Where is the patient who was attached to that monitor?" he demands.
The nurse looks nervous, her hands shaking as she taps frantically at her keyboard.
"I don't know," she stammers.
"The shift changed ten minutes ago. The chart says he was stable after the repair."
I feel a surge of anger and fear, my voice cracking as I lean over the desk.
"He didn't just walk out with a row of stitches," I say, my breathing ragged.
