Chapter 32 - CHAPTER 30: BRIGHT HORIZONS

A week had passed since their first fan session, and the glow of their newfound popularity hadn't dimmed. That morning, Lin Su, Xu Yan, Liu Wen, and Mei Lin gathered at Lin Su's apartment, excitement and nervous energy buzzing in the air. Today wasn't just any day—they had an appointment at one of the largest entertainment agencies in the country.

The girls had spent the last hour fussing over their outfits, making sure every detail—from shoes to accessories—was perfect. Lin Su glanced at the mirror, smoothing her hair. "I can't believe we're here. Just a few months ago, we were rookies on set, and now… we're walking into one of the most powerful agencies in Beijing."

Xu Yan bounced slightly on the balls of her feet. "I know! And they're assigning us personal assistants, stylists, chauffeurs… maybe even trainers if we ask. I read somewhere that B-list celebrities get perks like private schedules, PR agents, social media managers, and even nutritionists. We're basically being treated like queens before the throne has even been built."

Liu Wen chuckled softly, adjusting her jacket. "Yes, but even though these perks sound wonderful, it's still a world with ranks. A-list celebrities are always considered seniors. Doesn't matter if they're younger than you, doesn't matter if they're just starting. Respect comes first, always. You can't just waltz in thinking popularity makes you untouchable."

Mei Lin nodded in agreement, calm as always. "It's true. And today, each of us is getting different offers. They want us to compete for resources like personal assistants, stylists, schedules, and even project choices. It's subtle, but it's how the industry weeds out those who can handle pressure—and those who can't."

Lin Su's stomach fluttered, a mix of nerves and anticipation. "Competition or not, I'm just grateful we have each other. No matter what happens in there, I know we'll support each other. That's more important than any title or assistant."

Xu Yan grinned, grabbing Lin Su's hand. "Exactly! And look at us now—rising stars in the blink of an eye. Who would've thought our crazy nights memorizing scripts, running scenes, and even filming in the rain would lead to this?"

Mei Lin laughed softly. "I still remember Lin Su falling into that fake river on set. You were soaked head to toe, and still, you nailed the scene."

Lin Su rolled her eyes, smiling despite herself. "And you laughed at me the whole time!"

Xu Yan nudged her playfully. "That's what friends are for! If we can't laugh at each other, then what's the point?"

The girls arrived at the agency, their heels clicking against the polished marble floor. The receptionists greeted them warmly, ushering them into a spacious conference room lined with city-view windows. A representative began outlining the options available to them: personal assistants to manage schedules, chauffeurs for transportation to shoots, professional stylists, makeup artists, social media managers, PR agents, vocal trainers, and even fitness coaches.

"The agency wants to make sure you each have the resources to rise quickly," the representative explained. "Each of you will receive offers tailored to your current popularity rank and projected growth."

Lin Su listened attentively, absorbing every word. "So even though we're just starting, they treat us as if we already belong to the big leagues?" she whispered to Xu Yan.

Xu Yan laughed quietly. "Exactly. It's like they're giving us a taste of the high life, but also testing us. Let's just remember: stay humble, work hard, and never bite off more than we can chew."

Mei Lin nodded. "It's a calm sea today, but storms come with fame. We must navigate carefully. And whatever happens, we'll do it together."

Liu Wen smiled softly, looking out at the skyline. "From rookies to B-list stars… we've come a long way, but this is just the beginning. The horizon is bright, and the sky isn't the limit—it's our starting line."

The representative then asked each of them individually which perks and schedules they preferred. Xu Yan raised her hand first. "I'd love a social media manager and a stylist who understands my love for bold colors. I want to create a brand, not just follow trends."

Liu Wen shook her head with a laugh. "I'm more practical—I want a personal assistant and vocal trainer. My wardrobe can wait."

Mei Lin leaned forward. "I'll take PR support and a fitness coach. I want to maintain both my image and health."

Lin Su smiled, her voice calm but excited. "I'd like a mix of all—assistant, stylist, PR, and a trainer. But most importantly, I want guidance. I don't want to waste opportunities because I don't know what I'm doing."

The representative nodded, jotting down notes. "We'll make sure each of you gets what suits your strengths best. And remember, the goal isn't just fame—it's sustainable growth. You'll be challenged, but it's worth it."

Xu Yan nudged Lin Su, whispering, "See? Even in a room full of rules and ranks, we can still stand out together."

Lin Su looked at her friends, her heart swelling. "No matter how high we climb, we must remember the nights we stayed up memorizing lines, the rain-soaked streets, the laughter, the tears… all of it led us here. And as long as we stick together, nothing can shake us."

By the time they left the agency, the sun had dipped lower, casting a golden hue across the city. Lin Su glanced at her friends as they stepped into the waiting car, her heart full. "To the journey ahead. Let's make every sunrise count."

Xu Yan grinned, slinging an arm around Lin Su. "And let's make sure every step is worth remembering. The sky isn't our limit—it's just the beginning."

The city lights began to sparkle one by one as the car pulled away. For the four rising stars, the future was wide open—a blank canvas waiting for them to paint it with ambition, friendship, and dreams finally within reach.
