(Some people say that Jun Bai knowing Big Brother is in The Chasm underground but not going to rescue him now doesn't fit the character built up in earlier plot—so I'll explain here.
In the original plot, Xiao always knew about the nameless Yaksha, but didn't go down to find Bosacius until Version 2.8.
First reason: need to guard Liyue—but in both original and new versions, that's not actually an issue.
One Geo Archon alone can intimidate all minor evils, let alone there are other combat forces available here.
So the main reason is the second one: doesn't know where it is.
That place is in The Chasm underground zone, but essentially it's a space created by the Tawei Yi Pan. The entrance only appeared after the original plot's Nail of Cold Sky began operating.
In other words—before the game protagonist resolves The Chasm's problem, that space is completely sealed.
When completely sealed, unless you have the corresponding coordinates, you fundamentally cannot find the space's location.
So Jun Bai can only wait until the plot progresses later to rescue Big Brother—because right now Jun Bai doesn't know where the entrance is.)
—Main Text
(Compared to the new version's plot, I feel "Eternity" fits better as this PV's name than the original "Immovable Narukami, Phantasm Severed".)
(Most of the PV content is for reference only and will not appear in the main story—everyone can infer the plot from the content, but please don't take it as canon.)
The screen lights up—the real-time gameplay demo of the new map Inazuma appears in the preview livestream.
But this gameplay demo lacks color—the entire screen shows only shades of gray and white.
The narrator begins speaking:
"If Mondstadt is the city of [Freedom], Liyue the land of [Contracts], then Inazuma... is the nation of [Eternity]."
[Hm? This voice is...]
[Boss Jun's voice—clearly Boss is really idle, even starting to do narration.]
(System: That was me dubbing...)
"Five hundred years ago, after the cataclysm caused by Khaenri'ah brought calamity to Inazuma, the Shogun's faith in [Eternity] was shaken. The ruler who wields thunder stepped onto another path to pursue eternity."
Purple heavenly lightning strikes down. Clear skies are shrouded in dark clouds. The once peaceful islands are isolated from the world in thunderstorms.
"Sakoku Decree... has lasted a hundred years. Will the future continue like this?"
(A hundred years of isolation—done by the Doctor.)
In an ancient Japanese-style residence, a black-haired youth in ink-black traditional robes stands in the courtyard, gazing up at the thunderstorm in the sky and the Tenshukaku in the distance.
The camera never shows the youth's full face directly—only a close-up on his unusual eyes.
A pair of deep purple eyes swirl with inexplicable emotion. Three tomoe patterns slowly rotate in his pupils.
[Sharingan? And a pair?]
[This character is voiced by Boss Jun—name is Shiba Kaoru, I remember.]
[So is this Shinkenger or Naruto?]
A red paper umbrella appears over Shiba Kaoru's head.
A graceful figure holding the paper umbrella appears beside the youth, facing the thunderstorm together.
A female voice speaks:
"Since five hundred years ago, exorcising evil has been the Shiba family's mission. The Amamiya family vows eternal loyalty to the Shiba family."
"The Amamiya family has been vassals of the Shiba family for generations—so as long as it is your will, I will follow."
Only now does the camera turn to show the two from the front. The scene is blurred—only cherry blossoms falling from the courtyard tree are visible.
Petals dance; lightning splits one petal in two.
"Shiba family, Narukami Guardian—Shiba Kaoru!"
The youth with the slender tachi slashes down—tomoe patterns in his eyes light up.
"Amamiya family, Guardian's vassal—Amamiya Kotoya."
Water flows in rings around her. A slender, graceful young woman appears behind the youth—black silk blindfold over her eyes, slender daggers in both hands.
[New husband and new wife!]
[Hydro and Electro—is this setting up Electro-Charged synergy?]
[Visuals are okay, but lacks the vibe from Liyue's plot.]
"A hundred years of isolation—after that, does the Shogun still intend to strip away people's wishes in pursuit of eternity?"
The two walk side by side. Surrounding scenes blur and shift rapidly until only the youth stands before the Tenshukaku gate.
A terrifying bolt of lightning strikes down. A man collapses on the ground—his Vision extinguishes and falls from his hand.
"Vision Hunt Decree—all Visions must be seized and embedded into the Statue of a Hundred Arms and Eyes."
"Vision Hunt Decree—seizing Visions means stripping away people's wishes, embedding both into the statue."
"Since the Vision Hunt Decree was issued, those with wishes either left Inazuma, joined the resistance against the decree, or were left to fate."
"Only this person chose to challenge the Shogun in a duel before the throne—staking his life against the Vision Hunt Decree."
[Another Second Brother?]
[Duel before the throne—the "throne" means it's not a direct confrontation with the Shogun. Can't be someone sitting above the Shogun in Inazuma.]
[Thanks class rep for explaining—I'll add: staking life means loser dies.]
At this point the screen turns ink-wash style—clearly a flashback segment.
"There will always be mortals on the ground brave enough to face the thunder's majesty." A steady male voice speaks.
In the flashback, Kaedehara Kazuha sits on the grass. The youth who fell at Tenshukaku now stands beside him.
[Kazuha! My precious leaf!]
[Who is this? Don't recognize.]
[Sudden character drop—already in the banner, support type, but feels worse than Sucrose.]
(PS: I moved To the Stars' plot to Version 2.0—so for players right now, Kazuha is a true sudden drop.)
(Ask why I arranged it this way?)
(So I can watch most players suffer without Kazuha after Ayaka and Shogun release.)
"You want to challenge Musou no Hitotachi?"
Kaedehara Kazuha's voice asks.
"The eternity the Shogun pursues is not something we can comprehend. I only know one thing."
"A hundred years of Sakoku Decree numbed the people—but it didn't make them suffer."
"Yet the Vision Hunt Decree will make people like you and me lose our wishes. I don't want to see that happen."
The screen freezes on the youth's face shrouded in shadow, then blurs again.
"Before the Vision Hunt Decree takes root in Inazuma—I must do what I can. That one slash—might just reach."
The youth's smile freezes in memory.
[So he went to duel before the throne and died?]
[PV wants to knife me—classic miHoYo.]
[Courage commendable—but not everyone can reach Second Brother's level.]
The screen splits in two.
"I cannot let his blazing wish be embedded in that cold statue!"
Kaedehara Kazuha suddenly appears, grabs the youth's extinguished Vision and runs toward the outside of Tenshukaku.
Meanwhile on the other side of the screen—
Shiba Kaoru enters Tenshukaku and kneels before Inazuma's most revered being:
"Narukami Guardian pays respects to the Shogun."
The camera gives a close-up of Shiba Kaoru's face—those melancholic eyes glance subtly at the fallen youth beside him.
"Sakoku Decree, Vision Hunt Decree—rejecting all external connections, erasing all internal variables—keeping everything frozen in this moment."
"Is this the eternity the Shogun pursues?"
Shiba Kaoru closes his eyes, head bowed—his handsome face shrouded in shadow, expression unreadable.
"Is such eternity truly correct?"
[Pass it on: Sky Phoenix Marshal kneels to the Shogun in Inazuma—from now on Guili Assembly is under Inazuma management (lol.jpg)]
[The earlier parts didn't hit me, but this line really pierced my scalp—gives me goosebumps.]
[This guy isn't planning rebellion, is he?]
[Electro, sword, disrespectful to gods, even planning rebellion—is that you, A-Qing?!]
[Keqing hasn't reached rebellion level yet—and she's actually a hidden Geo Archon and Marshal fan...]
The screen gradually darkens. When it brightens again, little N's voice speaks:
"I am Kamisato Ayaka of the Yashiro Commission—people respectfully call me the White Heron Princess."
The bustling streets of Inazuma City are lively—but everything in frame is gray and white.
The only color is Kamisato Ayaka walking through the crowd. In the gray-white city, the elegant White Heron Princess is the sole spot of color.
"The Yashiro Commission manages ceremonies and culture—but Inazuma's culture has remained unchanged for over a hundred years."
"Performing ceremonies—the Shogun gives no response."
"The Shogun pursues eternity in her own way—no response, no progress. Is this the eternity of a god?"
"In such eternity—even ceremonies lose meaning." Kamisato Ayaka stops in place.
Yet in the bustling streets, no one notices her.
Even though she is an anomaly, she remains insignificant in this gray-white city.
[Ayaka! My lady! I've been waiting for you since Footprints!]
["Waiting for Kamisato" finally concluding?]
[This scene is so heavy, so oppressive. Completely opposite vibe from Liyue's high-energy.]
[A hundred years of isolation... haven't I read about this in history books? Is Inazuma's prototype really Japan?]
Kamisato Ayaka folds her fan, sighs softly, then continues forward.
The screen darkens again.
Then a lively festival scene appears.
"I love festivals—I've loved them since I was little."
"Especially the fireworks rising during festivals—they're truly beautiful and spectacular!"
Fireworks bloom in the night sky, lighting up the darkness.
Under the fireworks, a girl about five years old smiles at the display.
"Since then, I've attended every summer festival every year—but..."
Fireworks bloom in the night sky again.
Only now the little figure under them has grown into a graceful young woman.
"Every summer festival is the same."
"Every year the festival procures fireworks from my family with the same formula—even the fireworks bloom in the same spot every year."
"I still love festivals—I just hope to see different scenery at the festival."
Yoimiya watches the fireworks fade in the sky, smiling brightly.
But when the fireworks extinguish, the festival behind her turns gray-white. In the festival, she alone retains color and stands out starkly.
[Gray-white represents unchanging things—color represents variables within the unchanging.]
[Class rep can stay quiet now—everyone watching has understood by this point.]
[This situation exists because of the Shogun's Sakoku Decree...]
[So in the upcoming Inazuma plot—no matter if the Shogun is the god the protagonist is looking for—we still have to fight her.]
The camera switches to Yoimiya's perspective.
After the fireworks fade, she looks toward the calm sea ahead—the boundless ocean is also endless gray-white.
Until dawn breaks and Yoimiya leaves—the sea's color returns to azure blue.
A large ship sails in from the other side of the sea.
South Cross Fleet—Alcor.
"Is that Inazuma? Completely different style from Liyue and Mondstadt—feels so vintage!"
"Eeya!"
Paimon and Yiya's voices sound one after another.
[Protagonist arrives—atmosphere instantly changes.]
[Screen suddenly becomes bright and lively.]
Alcor docks at Ritou. Kaedehara Kazuha's voice warns the protagonist group:
"I must remind you—the Vision Hunt Decree targets Vision holders."
"Though none of you three have Visions, Traveler and Yiya can both use elemental power—if discovered by the Shogunate Army, you might be targeted too."
"So in Inazuma—please use elemental power carefully."
Amid Kaedehara Kazuha's warning, Lumine brings Paimon and Yiya onto Ritou.
Then the camera shows Inazuma City's vibrant colors from Lumine's perspective to all viewers.
[So the gameplay demo was here.]
[That gray filter earlier made it impossible to imagine Inazuma could be this sunny.]
"Three distinguished guests—this is the current Narukami Island Guardian, fifth head of the Shiba family."
A female voice speaks.
A group of black-clad figures in black veils suddenly appears.
Escorted by the black-clad figures are three: Shiba Kaoru, Amamiya Kotoya half a step behind him, and a masked man following them.
"I represent Inazuma in welcoming the three distinguished guests from distant Liyue."
"If the three wish to meet the Shogun—I have a way. Please follow me."
The screen shifts—the camera shows a statue. Its scale is no less than the three-god statue in Guili Assembly.
The statue is solemn and majestic—the depicted deity radiates killing intent. Countless glittering Visions are embedded in it.
"Statue of a Hundred Arms and Eyes—the Shogun's symbol, and the execution ground for Vision Hunt Decree. All targeted Visions are seized here."
"And when Vision Hunt Decree executions occur—the Shogun herself appears."
(Due to concern for good brother Thoma—this plot segment won't have any character kneeling there.)
As the words fall, night deepens—the camera moves to Chinju Forest.
"I cannot understand the eternity the Shogun pursues—nor do I wish to follow such eternity."
"So I want to change this unchanging life—try things I normally dare not do."
The girl speaks her heart to her friend and dances gracefully under the hazy moonlight.
"I am the Queen of Summer Festivals—anything less spectacular won't let me show my full power!"
Fireworks bloom in the night sky—the girl's voice lively: "Fireworks need all kinds to be beautiful! Festival fireworks need the grandest formulas!"
Stunning festival fireworks draw this to a close.
