Chapter 68 - Chapter 68: Arrangements

"That is…" Sakura looked at him with anticipation written all over her face.

Kakashi cleared his throat.

"Regarding your upcoming training plans, I've already arranged exclusive tutors for each of you."

"Exclusive… tutors?" Hearing this, not only Sakura, but even Haku and Sasuke were taken aback.

"That's right." Kakashi nodded, his gaze first settling on Sakura. "Sakura, I've been watching the effort you've put in during this period."

"So, I've recommended you to the Fifth Hokage-sama."

"The… Hokage-sama?!" Sakura covered her mouth in disbelief, her emerald eyes widening instantly.

That was one of the Legendary Sannin—the current Fifth Hokage! Did Kakashi-sensei really go and ask the Hokage herself to guide her personally?

"Don't get happy too soon." Kakashi saw straight through Sakura's thoughts and poured cold water on her excitement. "This is only an opportunity for a test."

"Tomorrow morning at eight, go to Training Ground Three on the mountain behind the village and meet her. If you fail that lady's test, she'll send you back without mercy."

As he spoke, Kakashi pulled a small glass bottle filled with a pale pink liquid from his ninja tool pouch and handed it to Sakura.

"Take this and drink it before you go to bed tonight."

"What is this? A nutritional supplement?" Sakura accepted the bottle curiously. It felt warm in her hand, as if it contained an unusually pure concentration of energy.

"You can think of it as a special 'constitution-strengthening potion.'" Kakashi fabricated the explanation without batting an eye. "I asked an acquaintance in the village to brew it over a long period using a folk recipe from an ancient text. This is all I managed to get."

"It can improve your physical condition and increase your chances of passing tomorrow's test. Don't waste it."

"Yes! Kakashi-sensei!" Sakura clutched the bottle as if it were a priceless treasure, bowing repeatedly in excitement, her eyes reddening. "I definitely won't let you down!"

Seeing her renewed motivation, Kakashi nodded in satisfaction. With this Bloodline Awakening Potion as a foundation, coupled with Sakura's own talent, passing Tsunade's test was already a foregone conclusion.

"Kakashi-sensei, what about me?" Haku asked with a gentle smile. "Does my Ice Release need guidance from another teacher?"

"The direction of ninjutsu development for you and Sasuke is already correct." Kakashi rubbed his chin, a sly smile appearing on his face. "What you lack is real combat experience and the ability to deal with special situations."

"So, I found a common sparring partner for the two of you. Or rather… a new companion for Team 7."

"A new companion?" Sasuke frowned.

"Mhm." Kakashi nodded, his tone growing more serious. "Not long ago, I dealt with a troublesome incident involving the Kurama Clan. During that time, I took in a female disciple with terrifying talent in genjutsu—Kurama Yakumo."

"The Kurama Clan… genjutsu?" Sasuke's eyes sharpened immediately.

As a member of the Uchiha Clan, he understood better than anyone how dangerous genjutsu could be.

"That's right." Kakashi noticed Sasuke's reaction and laughed inwardly. "That child possesses the extremely rare 'Five Senses Control' genjutsu, capable of interfering with reality itself and deceiving the brain."

"If not for her frail body, her genjutsu's destructive potential alone would already surpass that of an ordinary jonin."

"Genjutsu that interferes with reality…" Haku's expression also showed surprise.

"I've already discussed it with Kurenai Yuhi of Team 8." Kakashi continued calmly. "From now on, the two of us will jointly guide Yakumo. Lady Tsunade will handle resolving her physical issues."

He clapped his hands and looked at Sasuke and Haku, the corners of his lips curling mischievously.

"Once her body recovers a bit, I'll have her specifically in charge of your 'Anti-Genjutsu Special Training.'"

"In her genjutsu space, the damage and fatigue you suffer will be synchronized directly to your real bodies. When that happens, don't come crying to me just because you were beaten up by a girl."

Sasuke snorted coldly, his hands still in his pockets, pride flashing in his eyes. "Pointless. Before the Uchiha's Sharingan, any genjutsu is meaningless."

"No matter how talented they are, they won't be my match."

"Don't be so sure, Sasuke." Kakashi shrugged indifferently, then gave him a meaningful look. "As for your Sharingan training, I've prepared another 'special gift' for you. You'll find out in a few days."

"Always so mysterious." Sasuke curled his lip, but a faint sense of anticipation still stirred in his heart.

"Alright, that's all for today." Kakashi yawned, pulled out his copy of Icha Icha Paradise, and turned to leave. "Sakura, prepare properly for tomorrow's test. Haku and Sasuke, do whatever you need to do. I'm going to continue my 'serious reading.'"

Watching his students depart, Kakashi leaned against a wall at the corner of the street. Hidden in the shadows, his Sharingan once again turned toward the direction Boruto and Sasuke had disappeared.

"The tutors and special training targets are all in place."

He casually stuffed Icha Icha Paradise back into his pouch. With a flicker of motion, his figure vanished into an afterimage as he followed silently.

Ichiraku Ramen.

Under the warm yellow lights, the rich aroma of freshly cooked ramen filled the small shop.

"Boss, another large bowl of miso chashu ramen! Extra narutomaki!" Boruto slurped his noodles loudly, completely unconcerned with appearances, the sound echoing through the shop.

He slammed the empty bowl onto the counter and wiped his mouth heroically with the back of his hand, his azure eyes shining with satisfaction.

"Ahhh… even without Thunder Burgers or Thunder Trains, Ichiraku Ramen tastes amazing no matter the era! It's practically food from heaven!"

Teuchi laughed at the boy's enthusiasm and smoothly dropped another bundle of noodles into the boiling water. "Hahaha! What an energetic customer! Just a moment—it'll be ready soon!"

Adult Sasuke, seated beside Boruto, also held a bowl of ramen, but his movements were uncharacteristically slow.

'Ōtsutsuki Urashiki could appear at any moment. I need to find Naruto as soon as possible and protect him.' He calculated silently.

Yet for some reason, the image of that silver-haired man with lazy eyes kept resurfacing in his mind.

'Kakashi…'

Sasuke's chopsticks paused midair, his brows knitting tightly together.
