Chapter 33 - Ruins of the Forgotten Age

The silence did not fade.

It deepened.

As Ravin walked past the place where the guardian had vanished, he felt it more clearly than ever before—the shift in the world around him. This was no longer just a forest. No longer just a hunting ground of evolving creatures.

This was something else.

Something ancient.

"…This isn't natural terrain…"

His voice was low, almost instinctively respectful.

The trees began to thin out gradually, their massive trunks giving way to open space. The الأرض beneath his feet changed as well—less wild, more structured. The soil became firmer, flatter… almost shaped.

Ravin slowed his خطوات.

Then stopped.

"…No way…"

Before him—

Ruins.

Massive.

Ancient.

Stone structures rose from the الأرض, broken yet imposing. Pillars stood half-destroyed, some collapsed entirely, others still reaching upward as if refusing to fall even after centuries of decay.

The architecture was unfamiliar.

Not primitive.

Not simple.

But advanced in a way that felt… lost.

"…Someone built this."

Not beasts.

Not nature.

This was civilization.

Ravin stepped forward cautiously, his eyes scanning every detail. The stones were etched with markings—symbols he didn't recognize, yet somehow felt… intentional.

Alive.

The golden energy within him stirred again.

Stronger this time.

Reacting.

"…You feel it too…"

Ravin placed his hand on one of the broken pillars.

The moment his skin made contact—

A pulse.

Soft.

But clear.

His eyes widened.

"…There's still energy here."

Not mana as he knew it.

Something deeper.

Something closer to the golden power within him.

He moved further into the ruins.

Carefully.

Every خطوة echoed slightly, the sound carried unnaturally far despite the open space. The air here was still, untouched by the chaos of the forest behind him.

At the center—

A structure.

Larger than the rest.

Partially collapsed, but still standing.

Drawn by instinct, Ravin approached.

"…This place…"

His voice lowered.

"…feels important."

As he stepped inside, the temperature dropped slightly. The light dimmed, shadows stretching along the cracked walls.

Symbols covered everything.

Walls.

Floor.

Even the ceiling.

And all of them—

Faintly glowing.

Gold.

Ravin's breath slowed.

"…This is the same energy…"

Not similar.

The same.

His قلب began to beat faster.

"…The warrior…"

The realization struck him.

"…He came from here… or something like this."

He moved deeper inside the structure.

Then—

It happened.

The moment he reached the center—

The ground beneath him lit up.

A circular pattern formed instantly, golden lines spreading outward in perfect symmetry. The entire structure responded, the symbols glowing brighter as the air itself seemed to awaken.

Ravin froze.

"…What did I trigger…"

Too late to step back.

The light intensified.

Then—

Images.

Not in front of him.

Inside his mind.

Flashes.

Memories.

Not his own.

Warriors.

Clad in golden armor.

Standing together.

Fighting.

Not beasts.

Not creatures.

But something far more terrifying.

Shadows.

Distorted.

Unnatural.

A war.

Massive.

Endless.

The golden warriors moved with absolute precision, their power refined beyond anything Ravin had ever imagined. Their energy didn't explode—it controlled, shaped, perfected everything around them.

And at their center—

A figure.

Brighter than the rest.

Stronger.

A leader.

The same presence.

The same overwhelming aura.

"…Him…"

Ravin whispered unconsciously.

The golden warrior.

The one who saved him.

The vision shifted.

The war intensified.

The الأرض shattered.

The sky collapsed.

And one by one—

The golden warriors fell.

Not from weakness.

But from being overwhelmed.

Outnumbered.

Consumed.

Until—

Only one remained.

Standing.

Unbroken.

But alone.

The vision ended abruptly.

Ravin staggered slightly, his breath uneven.

"…What… was that…"

Not imagination.

Not illusion.

Memory.

A past that had been lost.

His gaze dropped to the glowing pattern beneath him.

"…This place…"

His voice was quieter now.

"…isn't just ruins."

It was a remnant.

Of something greater.

Something that once ruled.

And was destroyed.

The golden light slowly faded.

The structure returned to silence.

But Ravin—

Had changed.

His understanding deepened.

"…So that power…"

He clenched his fist.

"…comes from here."

Not just strength.

Not just control.

But a legacy.

A system.

A path.

Ravin looked around once more, his eyes sharper than before.

"…Then this place…"

A faint glow flickered within him.

"…is my next step."

Not a coincidence.

Not luck.

This was meant to be found.

His presence here—

Had meaning.

Ravin walked forward again, deeper into the ruins, no longer cautious—but focused.

Determined.

"…If I can learn this…"

His voice carried a quiet intensity.

"…I won't just survive this world."

His eyes hardened.

"…I'll surpass it."

The ruins remained silent.

But deep within them—

Something had awakened.

And Ravin—

Had just taken his first step into a forgotten power that once stood at the peak of this world.
