Chapter 205 - Annihilation, Next It Is Your Turn

Peter's flippant words reached Laufey's ears, yet they sounded more piercing than the most venomous curse in the world.

"You... court death!"

Laufey's lungs were about to burst from sheer rage. This Frost King had thoroughly discarded his regal poise, rushing heedlessly toward Evil Peter like a maddened wild beast.

Everywhere he passed, the earth congealed into razor-sharp ice spikes, and the water vapor in the air transformed into lethal ice blades, shooting toward Evil Peter in a sky-blotting torrent.

However, Evil Peter shifted and maneuvered exactly like a flame sprite dancing on the tip of a blade. Relying on the amplification of his Observation Haki, he either utilized Moonwalk to flash away or altered his physical form via Paper Arts.

Every single time, Laufey's offenses missed by a mere hair's breadth, with the entirety of them shooting instead into his own subordinates.

"Tsk, tsk, tsk. The Frost King speaks not, but solely slaughters his own subordinates."

"Dammit! If it weren't for you lowly commoners blocking the way, this King would have struck that Midgardian long ago!"

Evil Peter wasn't finished with merely creating an illusion of "just a fraction away from finishing off this bastard" for Laufey time and again; while dodging, he even cosplayed a narrator or mimicked Laufey's tone of voice to continue messing with Laufey's state of mind.

During this process, his hands didn't remain idle either, continuing to swing his blade without interruption.

Swish, swish, swish—

Every single time he swung his blade, arcs of blistering blade-glare were severed out. Everywhere the blade-glare passed, it was invariably accompanied by a large batch of Frost Giants losing arms and legs; those who were more unfortunate were severed into two sections on the spot.

Subsequently, they were burned to ashes by the fire that clung to them like a maggot in the marrow.

"Lowly Midgardian! Stand still for this King!"

Laufey roared, another even more massive ice spear leaving his hand, carrying a sharp screech that tore through the air as it pointed straight toward Evil Peter's back.

Without even turning his head, Evil Peter twisted his body lightly. The ice spear flew past his body, pinning an alarmed Frost Giant to death on the spot. Immediately following, he delivered a backhand slash, and yet another Frost Giant attempting to obstruct Peter was set ablaze.

"Ah, ah, ah, ah!"

Laufey went completely insane. He felt exactly like a played-with clown; no matter how he unleashed his full strength into his offenses, he couldn't even touch the corner of the opponent's clothes.

Meanwhile, the opponent was capable of leisurely slaughtering his citizens, his army, and his hope of resurrecting his kingdom one after another right before his eyes! This bastard was simply a nemesis tailor-made specifically for him by the Creator.

His fire perfectly countered his own cold ice. His speed rendered all of his own attacks a joke. His destructive power left his clansmen completely powerless to resist.

This suffocating sensation of having immense strength but nowhere to apply it was simply more agonizing than killing him!

Inside the protective shield, watching Peter deal with Laufey in a borderline teasing posture, every single person on the scene was left star-struck. Thor kept his mouth open, unable to resist murmuring to himself:

"Just how exactly did this planet give birth to a powerhouse of this level?"

He couldn't help but constantly compare Peter with himself in his own prime in his heart. The more he compared, the more hollow he felt. He was no match; even if he were in his prime, he would probably be fundamentally no match for Peter at all!

Within the beautiful eyes of Sif and Natasha, affection had completely overflowed.

Too handsome! Too powerful! Too overbearing!

This man perfectly hit every single one of their fantasies regarding a mate!

As time ticked away minute by minute, a thick layer of ash had been carpeted over the ground at some unknown point. The Frost Giant army, which originally numbered as many as several hundred individuals on the scene, was now left with a mere dozen or so people.

These Frost Giants entirely lacked the haughtiness and combat intent they possessed when they first descended.

They huddled into a mass, their red eyes filled with terror, their bodies shivering uncontrollably. Looking at that silhouette in the sky who resembled a demon god, they couldn't even summon the courage to resist.

Too terrifying. This Midgardian was simply more terrifying than the All-Father! Although the All-Father's strength was powerful, he, after all, harbored compassion in his heart, unable to bring himself to exterminate them completely.

But the Midgardian before their eyes—he was distinctly not planning to let them depart from Midgard alive!

"Tsk... why aren't you running anymore?" Evil Peter looked down at that crowd of Frost Giants huddling together for warmth, his tone filled with disdain. "If the prey merely buries its head in the sand without moving, then what pleasure is there left in hunting?"

Looking at the ashes of his compatriots covering the ground and listening to the devil's whisper beside his ears, Laufey's mind finally collapsed completely at this exact moment.

Those were his soldiers, the capital for resurgence that he had accumulated by sleeping on brushwood and tasting gall for a millennium!

He had originally fantasized that he only needed to kill the slumbering Odin and reclaim the Casket of Ancient Winters to be able to lead this elite army—which he had secretly nurtured for a millennium—to commence a campaign of conquest, reproducing the supreme glory of the Frost Giant race from a millennium ago.

Laufey was already over two thousand years old this year, an age considered elderly even among the long-lived Frost Giants. In other words, he didn't have another millennium to nurture a second army like this. This army was his absolute final hope.

But now... everything had become a phantom bubble. His army and his hope were easily slaughtered by a single Midgardian.

This signified that he, the Frost King Laufey, had zero possibility of rising again for the remainder of his life! He would be forever pinned to Jotunheim's pillar of shame as a failure!

"It's you! It's all because of you!" Laufey's crimson eyes stared dead at Evil Peter, a sky-toppling hatred and madness burning within them. "Lowly Midgardian! I will kill you!"

"Not only will I kill you! I will also find your family! Your friends! Every single person associated with you!"

"I will make them wail within an endless ice hell! I will shatter your bones inch by inch to forge the crown handed down through the generations of my race!"

Facing Laufey's crazed roars and venomous curses, the smile over Evil Peter's face instead grew increasingly radiant.

"Still have the mind to boast your mouth here?"

"Don't be in a hurry, it'll be your turn right away!"

The exact split second his words fell, Evil Peter raised his hand and snapped his fingers. In the next split second, more than a dozen blades and swords composed of fire instantly materialized around his body.

Swish~!

As Peter pointed his hand out, these flame blades and swords all transformed into shooting stars, shooting violently toward those Frost Giants down below who had already been frightened out of their wits.

The Frost Giants instinctively wanted to flee, but distinctly, all struggles were merely in vain. Those blades and swords completely condensed from fire looked exactly as if they were fitted with guidance devices; no matter how they fled for their lives, they could precisely harvest their lives away.

Chests were pierced through, and bodies were incinerated. Within just the blink of an eye, the final dozen or so Frost Giants subsequently lost their breath of life.

The entire world fell into a thorough state of quiet.

Evil Peter also slowly lowered himself from the sky at this time, a mocking smile hanging at the corners of his mouth as he walked step by step toward Laufey, who stood frozen on the spot:

"Tsk, tsk, tsk. What a pity!"

"The game has been failed~"

"Since you failed to stop me, then next..."

"It should be your turn too!"
