Somalia, Gulf of Aden.
Peter hovered in mid-air, his flight board emitting a low, rhythmic hum. Below him, the freighter from the intelligence report drifted silently on the waves, as still as a ghost ship.
Against a mob of mercenaries who didn't even qualify as regular military, Peter didn't even have the urge to get his hands dirty.
He simply activated his Wizard Driver, switching to Water Style, and used his control over the ocean to manifest several giant tentacles made of seawater.
These tentacles, resembling the legendary Kraken, swept across the deck, clearing the mercenaries in the blink of an eye.
After tossing the bodies overboard to feed the fish, Peter ventured into the deepest part of the hold and found a heavily reinforced briefcase.
Breaking the biometric lock with brute force, he revealed several chunks of metal ore glowing with a faint, violet light. He flicked a Flying Finger Pistol at the ore; the metal remained unscathed, but the violet glow pulsed intensely in response to the impact.
This phenomenon allowed Peter to be 100% certain: these were raw Vibranium ores.
"It's the real deal, but the quantity is pathetic. At most, it's enough for a blade. Building a full suit of armor with this would be a stretch."
As he grumbled, Peter's eyes fell on the ship's log sitting nearby. He noticed the destination was a small Eastern European nation: Sokovia.
"So it was the Hydra cells in Eastern Europe behind this trade..." Peter murmured. Unconsciously, an image of a young woman with a formidable presence and twin-related history flashed through his mind.
"Fine. Once I finish cleaning up the Hydra filth in North America, I can find time to head to Eastern Europe and save a lost... ahem, a young lady who has lost her way in life."
Just then, Peter's ears twitched. He caught the sharp, whistling sound of something cutting through the air above the hold.
Peter walked onto the deck carrying the briefcase and looked up. Several high-tech aircraft, sleek and shaped like the head of a black panther, were hovering directly over him.
From the aircraft's loudspeaker came a voice—young, yet heavy with authority:
"Shameless thief! You are surrounded. Lay down your weapons and surrender immediately to face the judgment of Wakanda!"
The voice dripped with an undeniable arrogance. Hearing this, Peter didn't tense up; instead, his lips curled into a smirk.
"Talk about 'finding it without effort after wearing out iron shoes,'" he thought. He had planned to spend time looking for them, and here they were, delivering themselves to his doorstep.
Peter looked up at the expensive Talon Fighters and replied calmly, his voice carrying clearly to every cockpit:
"Surrounded by you?" He let out a soft chuckle. "Is it possible... that you are the ones surrounded by me?"
The Wakandan warriors inside the planes bristled. They had never encountered someone this arrogant in their entire lives. A noble warrior from the Border Tribe, unable to contain his pride, slammed the firing button.
A bolt of energy, as thick as an adult's forearm, hissed toward the freighter where Peter stood. Peter's eyes narrowed, and his right leg whipped upward like a battle-axe!
"Rankyaku (Storm Leg)!"
A visible blue crescent of compressed air tore through the atmosphere with a sharp shriek, slamming directly into the energy bolt.
The bolt detonated instantly, but the air-blade didn't dissipate; it continued upward, striking the Talon Fighter head-on!
Vrrrrm—!
The fighter shuddered under the impact of the air-blade but wasn't knocked out of the sky. Peter frowned slightly, muttering to himself.
In the outside world, a tiny sliver of raw Vibranium could cause nations to go to war, yet here in Wakanda, they were wealthy enough to use it for full-coverage aircraft plating.
This is what you call 'pure financial insanity.'
While Peter was grumbling, the Wakandan warriors were staring at their cockpit displays in shock, cold sweat beading on their brows.
The "Storm Leg" Peter had just unleashed had been converted into energy readings on their screens.
That seemingly casual kick had not only neutralized their energy bolt but had filled the Vibranium armor's energy absorption capacity by over 30%!
This meant that if they didn't immediately discharge the kinetic energy, their Vibranium fighter would explode after only three to five more hits of that magnitude.
Under normal circumstances, even a Sidewinder missile wouldn't generate such a terrifying energy accumulation!
In other words... the kick from the masked man below was more powerful than a tactical missile. It was beyond ridiculous!
As the Wakandans sat in stunned silence, Peter—feeling a bit annoyed that he hadn't destroyed the plane in one hit—drew the katana he had been keeping in storage for the last sixty chapters.
It was the trophy he had taken from the Silver Samurai. Knowing he might end up in Wakanda, he had brought this "toy" along.
Even though the Vibranium content in the blade was low, it was more than enough to deal with these planes!
Peter sneered and swiped his hand over the Wizard Driver at his waist.
"Hurricane, please~!"
A green magic circle passed through his body, and his suit shifted into Hurricane Style. Peter instantly transformed into a green cyclone, soaring into the sky so fast he left a massive wake in the ocean below.
The pilot who had fired earlier saw a blur and gasped, "Where did he go?"
The next second, Peter's silhouette appeared directly outside the cockpit window.
"What the hell—!"
The pilot scrambled to fire again, but Peter vanished once more. Before the man could process what was happening, frantic screams erupted over the radio:
"Kalva! Eject! Eject now!"
From the perspective of the other pilots, Peter's flickering form had appeared behind the fighter.
Zing—!
Peter flicked the katana back into its sheath with a crisp click. A massive green slash mark suddenly manifested across the Talon Fighter.
Amidst Kalva's terrified screams, the aircraft split perfectly in two, and the pilot began a terminal velocity descent toward the sea below...
