Just as Lin Yan prepared to leave, a dim-yellow castle appeared on the distant horizon and rushed toward him. The Mo Family Gu Immortals had finally arrived aboard Myriad Earth Flying Sand Castle.
"Lin Yan, you devil! You dare plunder my Mo Family's resources? Die!"
Mo Chou's furious roar came from within the Immortal Gu House. Lin Yan looked at the approaching castle but made no attempt to fight it. He had already taken three giant resource points and captured three Mo Family Gu Immortals. There was nothing worth gaining from fighting a Rank Seven Immortal Gu House here.
The Green Claw Ghost Winged Lion appeared beneath him. Its enormous black wings spread wide before beating once, carrying Lin Yan rapidly across the desert.
"Hahaha! Three resource points are enough for today. I'll come back for the rest another time!"
His laughter traveled back with the wind. By the time Myriad Earth Flying Sand Castle reached Heavenly Thunder Cliff, the Green Claw Ghost Winged Lion had already carried him far into the distance. Mo Chou pursued for some time, but the initial distance combined with the speed of an Immemorial Desolate Beast made catching Lin Yan impossible. Eventually, Myriad Earth Flying Sand Castle could only turn back.
When Mo Chou returned, all that remained of Heavenly Thunder Cliff was an enormous pit. The surrounding earth had been ripped apart, fragments of the defensive formation lay scattered everywhere, and even the Thunder Vein beneath the mountain had disappeared.
Three giant resource points had been taken in succession. Flame Spring Cave, Thousand Flames Sea, and Heavenly Thunder Cliff had all required generations of investment to reach their present scale. Losing them was painful, but the Mo Family could eventually rebuild resource points.
The loss of three Gu Immortals was far worse.
All three had been captured alive. One of them was even a Rank Seven Gu Immortal. Their immortal apertures, Immortal Gu, inheritances, and everything they knew about the Mo Family could now fall into Lin Yan's hands.
"Lin Yan!"
Mo Chou stared at the empty pit, his anger surging until his face became distorted. Yet shouting could not bring back the missing mountain or the captured Gu Immortals.
"Contact the other super forces again. Tell them exactly what happened here." Mo Chou forced himself to suppress his anger. "Lin Yan has begun openly attacking and plundering our resource points. If he continues like this, the Mo Family will not be the only force affected."
This time, Mo Chou no longer intended to rely solely on the Mo Family. Lin Yan could defeat Rank Seven Gu Immortals, capture them alive, move giant resource points directly into his immortal aperture, and escape before Myriad Earth Flying Sand Castle arrived. More importantly, Wisdom Path deductions could no longer easily locate him. Unless enough forces worked together to restrict his movements, chasing him across Western Desert would accomplish nothing.
By then, Lin Yan had already escaped far away and was examining his gains. Three giant resource points, two primarily related to Flame Path and one to Thunder Path, had entered Flame Sovereign Blessed Land in less than a day. Each had been developed by the Mo Family over many years, allowing Lin Yan to obtain mature ecosystems and stable production without spending decades building them himself.
Flame Sovereign Blessed Land now possessed ten giant resource points. Their arrival increased the burden on the immortal aperture once again, but the profits were equally considerable. Its annual resource production had risen to roughly sixty to eighty thousand immortal essence stones. Adding the production of Startling Divinity Blessed Land pushed Lin Yan's total annual income beyond one hundred thousand immortal essence stones.
However, continuing today would no longer be worthwhile. The Mo Family had reacted, and their remaining resource points would certainly receive reinforcements. Myriad Earth Flying Sand Castle was also searching for him. Lin Yan could defeat individual Rank Seven Gu Immortals, but confronting a Rank Seven Immortal Gu House directly was another matter.
There was no need to take that risk. The Mo Family's resource points could not disappear. Once their forces relaxed and Myriad Earth Flying Sand Castle was no longer nearby, Lin Yan could simply choose another poorly defended location and return.
For now, three giant resource points and three captured Gu Immortals were enough.
Lin Yan's attention soon shifted beyond the Mo Family. After what had happened, the next response would probably involve more than a single super force. The Mo Family would spread news of his attacks and try to persuade the other forces of Western Desert to assist them. Even those unwilling to fight him directly might lend Wisdom Path methods if they began viewing him as a threat to their own resource points.
He had no intention of waiting for that net to tighten.
"The super forces will probably attempt another joint deduction soon. I should leave Western Desert first."
Lin Yan knew better than to underestimate their combined strength. Fang Yuan himself had possessed powerful methods for resisting Wisdom Path deductions, yet Southern Border's righteous path had still managed to threaten him through repeated cooperation and increasingly powerful deductions. Lin Yan could easily deal with the Mo Family's current methods, but facing the accumulated foundation of several super forces at once was unnecessary.
He had already taken what he wanted from Western Desert. It was time to leave.
