Chapter 79 - Preparation For Auction

At this time, Lin Yan did not remain in the outer city. He simply instructed the Family shops to acquire large amounts of materials suspected to be related to Human Path, Relic Gu of all ranks, and any Gu recipes connected to apertures.

After that, under the guarantee of Huang Ming, he entered the inner city. The number of people there was much lower, and the atmosphere was calmer. The higher-ups of the Huang Family quickly dispersed, each selecting an independent courtyard to stay in.

Lin Yan did the same. While settling in, he continued to gather information and soon learned quite a bit.

The inner city had gathered Gu Masters from nearly half of the Western Desert. Every day, small auctions were held, each divided by path—Metal Path, Water Path, Refinement Path, and many others, creating a wide and varied selection.

Even the more obscure paths would eventually hold their own auctions once enough items had been collected.

It was said to cover everything. For example, today's auction was focused on Wood Path. Most of the items were Wood Path Gu, Gu recipes, materials, inheritances, killer moves, or related resources. Naturally, Wood Path Gu Masters would gather there in large numbers.

Lin Yan also learned that three days later, there would be a Flame Path auction. That was something he could not afford to miss.

At the same time, he noticed that some paths were completely absent, such as the Human Path and the Dream Path. Either they had not fully developed yet, or they were too high-level, beyond even the understanding of most Gu Immortal.

As for rare paths like Luck Path, Food Path, and Theft Path, auctions for them had appeared before, but they were extremely uncommon.

Food Path and Theft Path were still acceptable. Food Path had already appeared at lower levels—Liquor Worm was a classic example—while Theft Path had a deep foundation, especially since the Thieving heaven Demon Venerable's originated from the Western Desert.

As for Luck Path, it was much rarer. Its last auction was three or four years ago. In comparison, Food Path would have another auction in about a month.

Besides these, there was also a special themed event known as the Treasure Hunt Auction. It mainly sold rare Gu, along with unidentified items and goods that failed to sell in other auctions.

Whether one could turn trash into treasure depended entirely on their own judgment and ability. This auction would be held ten days later.

Lin Yan quickly planned the auctions he would attend. The Flame Path auction was said to include rare flames, the Treasure Hunt Auction would have two White Silver Relic Gu he could not miss, and it might also contain Human Path materials. The Food Path auction could bring unexpected gains, especially in methods of feeding Gu.

"As expected of the Ten Thousand Li Silk Corridor. Compared to the Southern Border's Shang Family, each has its own strengths. At least in the Ordinary level, this place is far superior to their inner city. I almost want to stay here and cultivate long term."

He let out a quiet sigh. He had chosen only three auctions to attend. It was not that the others lacked value, but that his primeval stones were limited. He was also interested in Wisdom Path, Soul Path, and Theft Path auctions, but could only let them go for now.

Finally, there was a super-large auction held once every month. Any item there started at Rank 4, and it was rumored that complete Rank 5 inheritances and even some secrets related to Gu Immortals would appear.

Huang Ming and the Second Elder had already set their sights on this auction.

After that, Lin Yan asked about the Yellow Golden Relic Gu, though he did not expect much. It had long been restricted by super forces.

As expected, it did not appear even in the monthly auction. In fact, it was common for Families like the Huang Family to store Yellow Golden Relic Gu. Occasionally, some would be sold during difficult times, but they were almost always taken first by the super forces.

On one hand, it was because of the authority of the super forces. On the other, the prices they offered were simply too high, far beyond what ordinary Families could match.

A White Silver Relic Gu already cost thirty to fifty thousand primeval stones. By that logic, a Yellow Golden Relic Gu would easily reach three hundred thousand.

Lin Yan let out a quiet sigh and set the matter aside, focusing instead on preparing for the three auctions. There were several things he needed to secure.

Time passed quickly, and three days went by in the blink of an eye. During this period, he used one-third of his Profound Yellow Earth Qi to refine a second Rank 4 Mystic Yellow Earth Fire Gu.

Having dual Quasi Master attainment was his advantage, and he had to make full use of it. This Gu would definitely attract strong interest at the Flame Path auction.
