It seemed that Rebecca had finally decided that she had every right to remain and be included in conversations taking place in her own home. Cecilia took note of it, although she didn't comment on it. "I didn't come for that," she said calmly.
The room fell silent as both Cedric and Rebecca were astonished by the change in her tone. They both knew how strongly Cecilia had opposed their union, and although she rarely said it directly, her disapproval had been present in almost everything she did since arriving at Silverkeep.
