On getting out of the mansion, Ian called his friends to hang out in a bar.Not long he got there, Valerie and Chris entered and went straight to their VIP room. As they entered they saw the half drunken man who was sighing. His gaze fell unto Valerie's flawless face and he whimped. How can you start drinking when we've not arrived. Valerie immediately scolded Ian as she strode to his side and plop herself beside him. Chris just smiled and picked a bottle of champagne to open. I'm getting married. Ian said out of the blue. His eyes unreadable and cold.
Then I'm the bride. Valerie said laughing awkwardly. When should we pick out wedding date. She added picking a chicken leg with a fork. Chris silently looked at both of them and Ian didn't say anything. Are you both getting married without telling me? He asked painful but playful tone. Ian looked at Chris without saying anything and stood up with his hands inside his pocket as he strode towards the window. The young lady of Wilson corporation. He said with no emotion as he turned to face Valerie. And you accepted. Valerie showed emotions for the first time. Chris stood up and looked at his two childhood best friends. He looked at painfully Valerie who had her gaze on Ian and he simply walked out. Valerie stood up strode towards his side. Why... Why the hell did you accept. You should have rejected. She said as tears flowed from her beautiful eyes. Ian was tempted to wipe the tears away but he painfully stepped back. I never liked you as a woman so stop assuming things. He said, his tone icy. Valerie laughed.
Really? I assumed all what we had together? So all this years of standing with you was nothing? Valerie questioned. Ian was unable to say anything. I'm really stupid... so stupid to ever fall for you. So stupid of me to stay by your side. Valerie spoke so calmly but she was ragging inside of her. She looked deep into his deep brown breath taken eyes she had loved and laughed at herself. She picked her purse and walked out. He didn't chase or say anything and became motionless till she left.
Since then Valerie's temper has changed and she would fire any employee that made the slightest mistake. No one dare offend her during those times and Ian's wedding happened and she didn't come instead she was traveling for work. Chris knew what happened so he didn't question why Valerie didn't come. The wedding was full of prominent and influential people and was loud. Ian McKellen kept a straight face through out the wedding but would kindly smile at the guests who was congratulating him. Melissa also kept a straight face and the ceremony wasn't done when she left but her family covered her up saying she was stressed and had to go home. So the elderly guests urged Ian to also go home to accompany his wife and all of them smiled meaningfully.
