Chapter 24 - The First Seal

The Iron Gates groaned as they swung fully open, revealing a panoramic view of the High Kingdom: a sprawling, pristine landscape of floating architecture and golden spires, illuminated by the cold, artificial light of the twelve orbiting satellites.

Standing before Solan and Mina were five hundred Silver-Tier Knights. Their armor was polished to a mirror finish, reflecting Solan's own tattered, corrupted form. Behind them, the three Star-Cruisers hummed with low-frequency energy, their cannons already locked onto his mana signature.

"Target identified," the lead commander's voice resonated through the valley, amplified by a thousand speakers. "Subject: Null-Born. Status: Hostile. Execute the purge."

"Solan," Mina whispered, her hand trembling as she clung to his cloak. "There are too many. If we fight, we'll be shredded in seconds. We need to fall back."

Solan didn't look at her. He looked at the sky. He could feel them—the twelve satellites. He could feel the complex web of code that kept the world in a state of manufactured peace. He realized now that he wasn't just a boy from another world; he was the **Ouroboros Protocol**, a fail-safe designed to crash the system when it became too corrupt.

"I'm not going back, Mina," Solan said. His voice was no longer human; it was a rhythmic, multi-tonal sound that vibrated the very air. "I'm going to start the update."

**[SYSTEM ALERT: OVERRIDE INITIATED]**

**[ACCESSING: GLOBAL ARCHIVE]**

**[VOID CORRUPTION: 40% — CRITICAL]**

Solan didn't charge the army. He walked toward the center of the field, his tattered boots leaving scorched black prints in the snow. He raised his left arm, the one fused with the Ouroboros Drive. The veins glowed with such intensity that they illuminated the entire gorge in a blinding, violet-white light.

"He's gathering mana! Stop him!" the commander screamed.

The three Star-Cruisers fired. A concentrated barrage of golden spears descended from the clouds, threatening to wipe the entire mountain pass off the map.

Solan closed his eyes.

**"Astral Void Style, Final Form: The 13th Constellation."**

He didn't deflect the beams. He opened the **Gate**.

A massive, invisible singularity erupted in the air. The golden spears of the satellites were caught in the event horizon, stripped of their mana, and converted into raw data. Solan pulled the energy into his own body, his form expanding until he appeared like a towering shadow of shifting code and void-plasma.

The army of five hundred knights stood frozen as Solan released a pulse of pure **"Reality Glitch."** The golden light of the satellites began to flicker. The Star-Cruisers overhead shuddered as their targeting systems failed, their gravity-drives malfunctioning and causing them to tilt precariously in the sky.

For one glorious, terrifying second, the "Gods" were blind.

Solan collapsed to his knees, the pulse fading. The army stood in shocked silence, their weapons dead, their connection to the satellites severed. He had not killed them—he had simply **disconnected** them.

He fell forward, his strength spent, his left arm now fully crystallized into black obsidian.

"Mina..." he whispered, his consciousness flickering. "The map... tell them... the stars are liars."

As the army began to regain their senses and the satellites restarted their reboot cycles, Mina grabbed the **Ouroboros Drive** from his belt. She didn't try to carry him; she knew he was too far gone into the Void. She used a small, cloaking device to slip into the confusion of the shifting army, leaving the unconscious, broken form of the 13th Constellation behind.

As the High-Kingdom knights surrounded him, their weapons leveled at his chest, Solan Vantex didn't feel fear. He felt the cold, quiet hum of the Ouroboros code rewriting itself within his core.

The virus was inside the system.

The 13th star had fallen, but the signal had been sent
