Xavier's POV
All of a sudden, Sylvester burst out laughing, shaking his head in total disbelief. "Is that a joke? He's Lucifer? Again?"
I gave a grim nod, tapping my pen against the surface of the desk. "My thoughts exactly, Sylvester. One minute he is Lucifer, the next he is not, and now he is right back to claiming the title."
Sylvester ran his hand through his hair, visibly frustrated as he sighed heavily. "So what the hell are we supposed to believe?"
"I honestly don't know," I replied, leaning back in my leather chair with an unbothered, shrug. "And frankly, I don't give a damn anymore because right now, I am preparing his formal charging paperwork."
Sylvester blinked, surprised. "So you are charging him to court?"
"Yeah," I said, my voice cold and decisive. "I don't know what sick game he is playing, but I am done with him and his theatrics."
