Chapter 29 - “The Thunder Spear ”

The valley continued collapsing beneath them.

Every clash between the Guardian and the Kichatsu sent shockwaves tearing through the battlefield while ruined structures crumbled endlessly around them.

Golden lightning exploded.

Black destruction answered it.

And neither monster stopped moving.

The Kichatsu attacked first.

Its gigantic body twisted unnaturally before one massive kick slammed directly into Daisuke's chest.

The impact bent the air itself.

Then the transformed Guardian was blasted backward through multiple ruined structures instantly.

Stone exploded around him.

Entire walls collapsed.

The gigantic Guardian tore through the battlefield violently before crashing near the shattered remains of an old transmission tower.

Far away from the battlefield, Batch C felt the shockwave reach them.

The ruined streets beneath their feet trembled again.

Taro stared toward the distant storm with a pale expression.

"…how are they even still standing…"

Golden lightning flashed endlessly above the valley while black energy distorted the sky around it.

Even from this far away—

the pressure felt overwhelming.

Ren kept his eyes focused ahead.

"…that thing forced Daisuke back."

Mei looked toward the storm quietly.

"…that wasn't strength alone."

"…it knew exactly where to hit."

Ryo stayed silent.

But his eyes never left the distant flashes of gold and black tearing through the valley.

Back inside the battlefield—

the Kichatsu slowly walked forward through the ruins.

Heavy.

Calm.

Confident.

Black energy leaked endlessly from the glowing markings beneath its armored flesh while shattered stone cracked beneath every step it took.

Daisuke slowly rose again.

Dark-golden lightning spread violently across the glowing cracks running through his gigantic Guardian form while thunder echoed across the valley itself.

The Kichatsu vanished.

Then—

BOOM.

Another kick slammed directly into Daisuke's side hard enough to split the ground apart beneath them.

The Guardian crashed backward again, tearing a massive trench across the battlefield.

Far away near the northern ruins, Batch E immediately stopped moving.

One Guardian looked toward the distant storm nervously.

"…that's not a normal Guardian…"

Another tightened their grip.

"…that pressure keeps increasing."

Then suddenly—

Aito's voice echoed through every communication channel.

Clear.

Controlled.

But tense.

"Batch D to all teams."

Static crackled briefly.

Then—

"Confirmed Kichatsu-level Westling."

Silence answered immediately.

Even the other teams froze.

Batch B stopped near the destroyed transmission zone.

"…a Kichatsu…?"

One Guardian looked toward the eastern valley in disbelief.

"That's disaster-class…"

Aito's voice returned again.

"Requesting immediate backup support toward the eastern valley."

Another explosion interrupted the signal violently before the communication broke apart into static.

Back inside the battlefield—

Daisuke slowly lifted his head.

Then his glowing eyes shifted slightly.

Toward the broken transmission tower buried beneath the ruins nearby.

Metal.

Conductive.

Useful.

Golden lightning suddenly exploded outward from his body violently.

The shattered tower began glowing instantly as dark-golden electricity flooded through the metal like burning veins.

Even the Kichatsu stopped moving for a moment.

The pressure in the valley changed immediately.

Sharper.

Focused.

Then—

Daisuke moved.

The ground beneath him exploded apart as he lifted the gigantic tower with one arm.

Golden lightning wrapped around the broken structure endlessly while electricity screamed across its surface.

Then—

he threw it.

Not normally.

Accelerated.

The gigantic tower shot across the battlefield like a massive thunder spear moving at impossible speed.

The air exploded behind it.

Everything in its path shattered instantly.

The Kichatsu's eyes narrowed.

Then—

it dodged.

Barely.

The electrified tower passed directly beside its face before piercing through multiple ruined structures far behind the battlefield.

The explosion afterward lit up the entire valley.

But the throw had never been the real attack.

Because while the Kichatsu focused on dodging—

Daisuke vanished.

Golden lightning erupted across the battlefield.

Then—

he appeared directly beside the monster.

And punched it.

The impact detonated like thunder itself.

Shockwaves exploded outward while the Kichatsu's gigantic head snapped sideways violently.

Before it could recover—

Daisuke grabbed one of its legs.

And swung it.

The gigantic monster smashed through ruined structures repeatedly while lightning exploded across the battlefield with every impact.

Then Daisuke hurled it across the valley hard enough to crater the ground where it landed.

For the first time since the battle began—

everything became still.

Dust drifted slowly through the shattered valley.

Taro stared toward the battlefield feed.

"…did he actually beat it…?"

Nobody answered.

Because deep inside the smoke—

something slowly stood back up.

The Kichatsu.

Still alive.

Still smiling.

Black energy leaked from its body while shattered stone fell endlessly from its armored flesh.

Even after all of that—

it looked excited.

Daisuke stared at it silently.

Then the electricity around him changed.

Dark-golden lightning wrapped violently around one of his massive arms while thunder roared across the battlefield louder than before.

Not scattered energy anymore.

Condensed destruction.

The pressure alone cracked the ground beneath his feet endlessly.

Far away, every team felt it.

Even the distant ruins shook violently beneath the growing storm.

Mei's expression changed slightly.

"…that energy…"

Ren narrowed his eyes.

"…he's putting everything into one strike."

The Kichatsu watched Daisuke carefully.

Still smiling.

Then—

Daisuke moved.

Golden lightning exploded across the battlefield violently as the fully charged thunder punch shot directly toward the Kichatsu's face.
