"Yes, the next era is coming. When that time comes, Pure Fox, you might not be able to stay by my side anymore."
"Eh, why!" Pure Fox looked at Fujino urgently, her little paws tightly clutching Fujino's clothes.
"You must learn to grow up. Staying by my side forever won't do. When a child grows up, they eventually have to go out and see the world." Fujino stroked Pure Fox's head to comfort her.
"But I don't want to leave Fujino!" A faint mist appeared in Pure Fox's pale gold eyes, with tears ready to fall at any moment.
"Alright, it's not like we won't see each other again." Fujino patted Pure Fox's head with amusement. "Even though this era is ending, there's still about a century left. We'll still be together during this time."
