After comforting Dragon Rain, Fujino helped her change clothes. It was too strange to wear a qipao now.
Dragon Rain tugged at the dress she was wearing and pouted, looking a bit unhappy. This outfit didn't look good at all.
"Alright, don't make that face. You can wear it when you grow up." Fujino smiled and pinched Dragon Rain's cheek, then patted her little head. "Now, don't bully Pure Fox, okay?"
Dragon Rain already possessed the traits of a powerful race and the world's guardian. Her strength was at the Demon King level like Touko, whereas Pure Fox was currently only at the Spirit level. However, because her intelligence was highly developed, her strength was close to the Great Yokai level. Still, Pure Fox's strength was quite average, but that was only for now, as her talent hadn't completely awakened yet.
Pure Fox's talent was Purification, the ability to purify things to their purest state. Later on, this ability could purify a person once to give them great power, power that wasn't even inferior to that of a god. It could be called a god-making ability. It could also be used on herself to make her own power pure. As the saying goes, "powerful because of purity"—this perfectly describes Pure Fox's power.
(Pure Fox's power is a bit confusing to me; anyway, just follow what's in this book.)
But for now, it seemed it would take quite some time for Pure Fox's power to be triggered. At the very least, she would need to reach the Great Yokai level before it could be fully awakened. If Fujino intervened, she could do it now, but that would be like helping the shoots grow by pulling them up, which wouldn't be good for Pure Fox's future. Although she could use her own power to offset it later, there was no rush and no need to do so now.
"Understood," Dragon Rain replied casually. Just a little fox, as long as Mother is mine.
The next day, Fujino took Pure Fox and left Buzhou Mountain. It wasn't fun to always stay in the villa, so Fujino suggested going out for a stroll. Dragon Rain didn't follow them. Because her race was a dragon, Dragon Rain's habits also leaned toward those of a dragon. She was currently still sound asleep in the villa. After all, for long-lived species like Touko to increase their strength, they basically relied on the accumulation of time. The best way was to sleep, allowing the power within their bodies to accumulate. This method was far more effective than secluded cultivation.
"Where are we going today?" Fujino asked the Pure Fox in her arms.
"Fujino can decide." As she spoke, Pure Fox leaned her little head against Fujino's soft chest and squinted her eyes comfortably. This was her favorite place. In the villa, that annoying brat Dragon Rain hogged it, but now that Dragon Rain wasn't around, Pure Fox naturally wanted to enjoy her time alone with Fujino.
"How about we go play in the Underworld?" Fujino smiled. Calculating the time, the Hell in the Underworld, or rather the Higan, should be almost finished evolving. However, at this point in time, Fujino wouldn't be able to see the future loli who loves fried shrimp, the Yama King Shikii Iku.
That was also one of Fujino's favorite characters. Back then, Fujino had read quite a few yuri doujinshi of this Yama Loli King. She wondered what kind of cute sight it would be if Shikii Iku ever found out Fujino had read her doujins. However, she'd probably be brandishing the Rod of Remorse in her hand, wanting to purify her, or perhaps it would be a bout of lecturing. Speaking of which, Fujino actually really wanted to hear Shikii Iku's lecturing; she felt it would definitely be very interesting.
However, regarding the status of Fujino and Shikii Iku in Episode 0.3, Shikii Iku's qualification as just a Yama might be a bit insufficient. If that's the case, given the Yama Loli King's personality, it might be a bit troublesome when the time comes.
"Underground?" Pure Fox tilted her head in confusion. Why did Fujino say they were going underground? Was there anything fun underground?
"Yes, the underground is a whole different world." Fujino snapped back to her senses and patted Pure Fox's head. "You'll find out in a bit."
